Stopped off here for a wee bit o lunch before getting back on the road. Enjoy the chowda and crab salad. It's a typical pub and they take cc which is great. Nice little place to rest in btwn sites.

Myself, husband and son visited this place for lunch and had a seafood chowder and what a disappointment it was! Firstly, there was very little seafood - I got a couple of shrimps and that was it, my husband and son did better in that they got a mussel each, but there wasn't any of the usual stuff that makes... Brilliant! We love this place! Probably our favourite place to eat in Donegal town. Cosy and oldie world atmosphere and great reasonably priced food... stews, seafood , steaks and remember to check out the specials board.

We had Sunday lunch here on August 24. All went well although the place was crowded. The service was prompt enough and the food good. We returned for dinner on the 28th and wer shown to a nice table by the window, after which we sat, unattended, for about fifteen minutes. At one point a server came near us, looked... More

Great real ales on draught. Good atmosphere and good food (I did not eat here as I had just had tea next door in the Blueberry). I left and went to the Castle and then returned for more beer while my wife went shopping. Much enjoyed.

We had the early bird supper, even though they hadn't told us about it. You had to ask for it. Excellent value and wonder food.

Had lunch here recently and really enjoyed it. Nothing overly exciting on the menu but good quality, tasty and big portions, just what you hope for dining in a pub. There were issues with some of what we ordered not showing up and having to be asked for again but bar was busy and we were in no great rush... More

Every time my family and I go to Donegal, we always go here for food. It's fantastic. I love this place. The mussels and fish pie are to die for. They always have specials on too. I would recommend this place any time. It's one of my all time favourites.

The pub and restaurant was very busy when we arrived but we asked for a table for two in the bar and that was ok. The staff were friendly and we got drinks, setting up a tab as we also wanted to eat. We ordered a steak sandwich with fries and salad plus I asked for a large prawn cocktail... More
