Great food and atomosphere

Beautiful little resturant, delicous food. I had Irish stew one night, the special the other(chicken in a mushroom sauce). The service was a little stiff in the resturant, better in the bar. Good value, and the old woodwork there was way cool.

Food always good and sells good beer from Donegal brewery for those with Guinness and lager fatigue. Staff friendly but not in your face. Good spot in town and good for lunch if visiting the Castle.

Basically I was extremely happy, pork belly and scallops, awesome, venison pie (not a typical Kiwi pie), awesome, heaps of flavour. My wife had the veggie Thai style noodles, not very awesome, quite bland but I say stick with what you know. Excellent local produce. Service was good with a nice pint, would go back again.

the bar area is very nice, old fashioned and full of character. However the food was disappointing. The chowder was a thick and lumpy white sauce with not enough fish and a bland taste.

This place is confused and clueless. I very rarely give bad reviews but I was so disgusted at the treatment we received from the staff and manager at this place. I had dinner here on the evening of the 9th April 2015 with 3 other friends . Within 10 minutes of being seated we had 4 different staff members at... More

I do not as a rule reply to reviews on Tripadvisor but in fairness to my staff members on duty on the evening you refer to,I feel I must in this instance. At this time of year we are training new recruits for the busy season ahead. The young man you refer to was one of these, with us for... More

Me and my boyfriend had a late brunch in Castle and we were both blown away by the quality of food they served. We both shared 3 dishes- fish cakes, oysters and a daily special salad with smoked salmon and crab meat. The homemade bread served with each dish was just a little cherry on top with a nice glass or... More

We have eaten in the Castle a couple of times and it has always been lovely and very pleasant. We went in on Bank hol Monday on our way back to Dublin. We ordered the fish pie and the cheese burger. They came out about 30 mins later but the portions were terrible. The fish pie was €10.95 and it... More
