Market Lane is an award winning restaurant and bar over two floors that offers great food and amazing value. Where possible we use ingredients from The English Market and local artisan producers to make up our menu which has a wide range of fish, salads, meat, game and sandwiches, in addition to coeliac and vegetarian dishes and a healthy kids menu. Was in Cork for business. When my cab arrived at the entrance of Market Lane, I was already running late. I patiently queued and when it was my turn, the reception staff suddenly went away in a hurry when all I wanted to know was where is my table. It took another 10mins before a staff came back and there... More

The food here is always excellent, while this review refers to lunch I have happily eaten here for dinner also. I love the range and diversity in the menu and it is remarkable how many lovely fresh ingredients are used. I have never been here when it has been quiet. I think that is a testament to how popular a... More

I had heard that Cork is the jewel of the Irish culinary scene, and Market Lane proves it. Items are locally sourced and creatively and expertly prepared. Great wine list, too. The wait staff is very friendly. Our waitress even searched for a hidden bottle of Grappa for dessert. On a weekday night, the restaurant was packed, but the 20-30... More

We went there for a night out and had a wonderful time. The food is absolutely top notch. Portions are just right and the presentation is superb. The food always matches your expectations after reading the menu. The waiting staff was very good. The wine recommendation and attention to customer was really good. The only drawback was that you cant... More

One evening we decided to try this restaurant with good reviews. Well, they are true, the only issue was we had to decide before not in the last minute. We had to wait for a free table and instructed to return in 45 minutes ( so better reserve in time). But the food was very good, nice presented and big... More

Happened by here while waiting for my son in UCC and was highly impressed. Very well laid out with, nice decor and a very professional feel. Had ham terrine to start, served with chargrilled bread & a mustard butter. Some rocket & mixed chard & chargrilled red peppers. This was very good though word have liked to have had the... More

I have to say this was the single best meal I had in Ireland on a nine day trip in June with my nephew. It was that good! We ordered off the early evening menu (Sun-Thurs until 7pm) that included three courses for 22.50 euros. I had the mushroom and blue cheese risotto to start, the roasted stuffed chicken breast... This is a very popular spot in Cork. The place was buzzing on a Monday night. The menu is excellent with earlybird options. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Big enough menu to appease most. Atmosphere was good, waitstaff fast and mostly friendly. Interesting cocktails and great food. It's worth a visit while in Cork.
