I recently tried the new Tapas section and was thoroughly disappointed . The portion size was very small and not consistent .Friends ordered the cheese dish to received it missing some of the ingredients and a smaller portion . We informed the waitress who was very rude and dismissive of us . It was such an awful way to be... More

Went with a group of 6 on Wednesday night. Overall it was quite good and enjoyable. Not a wide a selection on the menu as expected. I had Thai mussels whoch were very good. The main was scallops which I thought were slightly over cooked and a little bland. Service was pleasant and prompt.

I recently tried the new tapas section to Jacques and found the food and wine excellent . The choice of Tapas was interesting and I particularly liked the selection of Irish Cheese. Less formal than the front section a great addition to the City

I was really excited when I saw that Jacques had opened a cafe / tapas bar that linked their existing restaurant to Oliver Plunkett St. I had eaten in the restaurant a number of times over the last 5 years. I found the food to be decent, but overpriced. The restaurant is usually inhabited by pink, pinstripe shirt wearing silver... More

I had a superb rib eye steak, cooked exactly as I requested that was served with mushroom and delicious crispy onion rings. A nice dish of crispy potatoes came on the side. The servings are generous. The service is good and the staff is friendly. We had an interesting organic Chardonnay.and a great share dessert plate. I enjoyed the ambience... More

Jacques has recently been extended and re-vamped. We recently had lunch in the new area which is beautifully decorated and has a lovely ambience. We had half a sandwich and soup for €8 which was excellent value. The food is wonderfully fresh and all homemade, it was devine. We also had 2 glasses of wine (small ones) and they cost... More

The title says it all - we enjoyed the food and the staff was very attentive and friendly, but the food wasn't really that spectacular. There are other restaurants in Cork in a similar price range that I think do much better.

Friendly staff, excellent menu and well cooked food. Recently extended with a bar area, this is now my favourite place to eat in Cork City. High recommended
