Fantastic restaurant

Went there with my wife on a Thursday evening. Service was excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere. I had chowder and steak and they were both great. Very impressed. Will go back soon

All the food and wine was absolutely amazing especially the homemade bread. Restaurant is family run and the service is great. Highly recommend it.

Visited Star Anise with a friend this evening and was greeted by Virginie, the owner, who managed to fit us in to a fully booked restaurant and as per usual the food, service and ambience was second to none. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to everyone.

We managed to book a table on the 14/02 at 5pm to have dinner an hour after. The staff is very friendly, & the food delicious! We would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a very pleasant dinner for an affordable price.

We went here for my birthday at the end of January. There was three of us eating. I chose the place because of the high rating on Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. We decided to go for the Early bird menu as it has quite a good range. For starters me and my Mother got feta and aubergine parcels, which... More

Sadly we had a poor meal here. I had the chowder to start and it was tasteless and needed seasoning.I had the chicken for the main course and it was cold with the champ which was also cold. My partner had a sirloin steak she said was tough and fatty. The pepper sauce with the steak was very watery an... More

We had read a lot of good comments about this restaurant on trip advisor and booked it in advance of our visit to cork last weekend. It is quite a small but cosy restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the food was superb. We will not be able to visit Cork any more without including this restaurant... More

Visited this restaurant based on the reviews from Tripadvisor and yes the food was very tasty. The restaurant itself is quite cold and I had to put my coat on half way through the main course - thus we didnt stay for dessert. For the quality of the food, the price is very good.

The staff were super friendly and couldnt do anough for us considering they were up the walls busy at the time. The food as amazing. We went for the early bird option, and nothing limited. The taste, the presentation and the time at which the fod came down was excellent. We will defitnetly be returning back here. Thumps up from... More
