Visited this restaurant based on the reviews from Tripadvisor and yes the food was very tasty. The restaurant itself is quite cold and I had to put my coat on half way through the main course - thus we didnt stay for dessert. For the quality of the food, the price is very good.

The taste, the presentation and the time at which the fod came down was excellent. We will defitnetly be returning back here. Thumps up from... More

We booked a table for six early on Old Year's Eve - they were already well booked up and it is obvious why. We ate here about 10/11 years ago and have never been back for some reason which I can't remember why...BUT we will be there again soon. Great table in the window watching the world go by, excellent... More

We were there just this week. My first time. We were heading afterward to the ballet so we ate at 6pm. There are many ways to eat here. Early bird, a la carte or a mix from both. I chose from the a la carte as I love Quail. Succulent and juicy. I then moved onto home made prawn filled... More

Visited last Thursday. First bit of good news - they had a table.(we had no reservation) Then turned out early bird was available all evening on Thursday. Quality ingredients in my terrine and partner's seafood chowder were better than we expected. Main courses of steak and fish respectively also delighted. The Merlot from StEmilion was delightul too. Highly recommend this... More

Visited Star Anise last evening in a special theatre and early bird promotion for the Des Bishop show in the Everyman Theatre. We had the 3 course early bird special plus wine and coffees and every aspect was quality through and through. The staff on duty last night - two ladies - were very professional and pleasant and really went... More
