Amazing value

The value this restaurant offers never ceases to amaze me. You can bring your own wine and get threes courses for under 25euro. Great atmosphere, delicious food and great staff

We visited the Strasbourg Goose during a visit to Cork for my Birthday. The restaurant came highly recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely (I can recommend the lamb shank), and served very promptly without feeling rushed. Although the restaurant is small it doesn't seem intrusive while you eat. Prices are fair also. We hope... More

Booked here for a birthday meal for six people the night before Paddys Day and there was no issues with the booking. Menu is a little bit limited but there does seem to be something for everyone. The menu states it is 23 EUR for a starter, main and desert (desert can be swapped for a glass of wine) so... More

We went in mostly because one person in the party wanted somewhere not too noisy and it fitted the bill. I asked what the specials were and must have misunderstood as I thought the waiter had said scallops. I ordered these and got a plate of deep fried brown things. I asked if this was the scallops and was told... More

this is a nice small restaurant with polite and helpful staff. The food, a three course meal for €22.95 was excellent and very well presented. The restaurant also allows BYO (bring your own) which is important to us when we dine out as we prefer to chose our own wines.

I went there for lunch and it was very nice. The staff is friendly and will adjust the order to your taste. Only thing was a bit too much salt on the green beans to my taste. But the ceasar salad was excellent and adjusted to my taste as well as the delicious grilled salmon. The atmosphere was warm and... More

Steak have improved I think, filet is up there with the best of them in Cork I think. Lovely deep fried goats cheese thing in the starters now also - very nice. Saw orange juice as starter on the lunch menu the other day which I thought was quite an unusual thing to put on as a starter. If you... More
