Description: The Workshop is a local family business where you will find a comfortable...
The Workshop is a local family business where you will find a comfortable relaxed and unique environment that feels like a home from home. The business consists of three different aspects: 1. The Tea Rooms/ Cafe Experience With plenty of comfy seating we set out to provide our customers with excellent quality local products served in a relaxed atmosphere. This ranges from delicious gourmet sandwiches made with local fresh produce, gluten free soups and cottage pies, locally baked desserts and freshly roasted Badger and Dodo coffee beans sourced in beautiful East Cork. We aspire to echo the service of the good old days and so we serve our extensive variety of teas in antique and vintage fine bone china. 2. Antiques and Vintage We've taken a backwards approach to the phrase "out with the old in with the new" in that you'll mostly find vintage and antique furniture and items for sale within the store. We lovingly paint and restore some of these pieces so that they can be up-cycled and reused in the homes of today. 3. Community A place where people can gather is the final aim of The Workshop, we are in the process of setting up weekly book clubs, a cinema club (where you choose the movie), art classes, weekly demonstrations and much much more.

A quirky fun place to have lunch

This is a lovely little cafe. The staff are super friendly and the service is superb. There is information about the cafe on the table which is a great conversation starter. Family friendly , if you like I spy you are in luck! I had soup and a sandwich and my taste buds were tingling - and i... read more

Heard about this and went to check it out. It was ok, had tea and a sandwich. My sister had coffee and gluten free cake. She was delighted with the gluten free. Me, spiced beef sandwich, a little disappointing.. Arbutus bread, Saturday morning, don't think it was very fresh. The people are lovely, very chirpy and the surroundings, very rustic,... More

Look, it's a lovely, homely, cafe, there is nothing wrong with it. I definitely pop in again for a soup, sandwich, cake or coffee, but I'm not sure why it's in with the restaurants, as it's really not competitive - it's a cafe... and a lovely one. Cork has some amazing restaurants, and being in that category, I have to... More

This restaurant is just less than 2 klm from cork airport. It was a workshop for the owners father and now has been cleverly restored into this gem for a relaxing meal. What vintage items are on display are also for sale.nearby is a crossroads so you can park view the planes leaving the airport before relaxing with a nice coffee, meal or... Lovely vintage ambience, mismatched ware, oil cloths on the tables, and of course the home made cakes etc. Staff are friendly and helpful and knowledgable about the food on offer. Great place to meet for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Well worth a visit if you are around the airport or on the way to or from Kinsale

I love this little cafe, which is out of the way in a fairly remote area but well worth the trip. Food is great, staff are friendly and helpful and the place itself is filled with adorable decorations and you can even see the chickens roaming outside.
