Went for a meal for 2 here on Saturday night and was blown away by the standard of the food! On arrival the maitre d was very welcoming, he makes you feel like a valued customer even though this was our first time there. The choice on the menu was really good, you can make the meal as expensive(or not)... More

I was taken out to Sunday lunch as a treat by my family. I had never been to Oysters restaurant before but was aware of it's existence. I always assumed it was a run of the mill hotel restaurant. Boy was I in for a surprise.......... Really exceptional quality food. Service was efficient and friendly, but no too much pomp,... More

Ate here last night - very early - 6pm. So early that for a while my husband and I were the only ones dining! (Hence only a 4 for atmosphere though background piped piano music was lovely). We were joined by about another 6 or 7 groups by the time we left. Early bird is offered until 7 on fri... More

While I'm not a fan of seafood, this one does do meat, I went along with my colleagues and tried this hotel restaurant. I have to admit that it was a worthwhile experience. We only had mains & dessert, but it was brilliant. I had tuna, as did another colleague, one had John Dory and the 4th had the beet... More

I must admit I was nervous eating in a hotel restaurant and was fearful it could go all wrong but I can say with full confidence that this was without a doubt the best meal I have ever had in my life. I can not understand for flavors alone why this restaurant does not have a michelin star. The butter... More

There's always a nervousness about eating in a hotel restaurant. Won't it be boring, bland, tired? NOT SO, with Oysters which is based on the ground floor of the Clarion Hotel in Cork City. The restaurant is run in the evening as a separate venture to the hotel itself and as such, is a great idea. A recent visit there... More

I ate here a couple of weeks ago. I was spending the night in The Clarion and when I noticed a new restaurant there I decided to check it out. The menu looked cery appealing so I had to take a seat. It was early on a Wednesday evening, so the restaurant was very quiet and I was accommodated easily... More

Dined here last night and every course was a delight. I didn't want the starter course of scallops to end. The John Dory was devine as was the side order of chowder. It was all washed down with a nice bottle of Albariño. It's not cheap but food of this standard never is but I would return for a treat.
