Good food and great atmosphere

I visited the Oliver Plunkett twice, both times there was a great atmosphere and the food was just great. Had an amazing steak and brownies. There are always live concerts which makes the experience even better. Check the place out !

We went here for a drink on Friday night, and there was a band on (a blues band, who were fantastic, by the way). It was very busy, but not uncomfortably so. The decor in this bar is really nice, and their drink prices were what you would expect for a City Centre bar in Ireland. "The Piggery" food looked... More

over priced, both drink and food is overpriced. there was 5 couples that ordered food, 9 got served very greasy food and eventually the 10th person who ordered steak got his food after everyone was finished. Tried complaining to staff but none to be found. Steak was to be accompanied by a side serving of sauce none arrived. eventually asked... More

Had a lovely couple of evenings at this pub with really impressive live music. Another veggie choice on menu would be appreciated though.

As one of the other reviewers recently said, "It's ok." I had heard so much about this restaurant that I guess I expected more. Now, it was probably my fault for not receiving a good impression. I visited the restaurant for lunch about 3:00 p.m. when the place was virtually empty. Still, I expected better food and better service than... More

The pub is very well located and actually looks more beautiful than average, so you would normally think it is some sort of a pricey tourist trap; as a matter of fact, it is not pricey at all and lots of locals were there. It was 9 30 in the morning and I decided to go for the famous full... More

I popped in here for a "couple" of beers last week and loved it. It has a small stage for live music and the Beamish is fabulous. Bar staff were very polite too.
