Great entertainment and selection of food

great entertainment and delicious food. Had the cork coddled and potted brawn which were surprisingly delicious. The pie of the day was beef and Guinness and that hit the spot. Three of us visited the Oliver Plunkett on Monday 13th April and had tea, coffee and soup. Unfortunately the soup was served cold. This was sorted and returned with an apology. Where we sat was very unclean. The décor is very nice but the table we sat at had a lamp in the corner and it looked as though this... More

This is a palatial establishment, and well patronised. But there is no beer to my taste. I tried a half of lager, but it was undrinkable. One of the products from local micro breweries would not come amiss.

Whats not to like. Venue is well positioned near corks city centre post office . great building and the food is WOW. They have live bands playing all types of music and Irish. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very tidy place. 2 levels with different music and bars. Fish and chips is probably the best I had in cork.

If your a tourist visiting Cork for the first time, it's likely you'll end up here. However the atmosphere is great, and the food isn't bad either. You're likely to come across some good music too

I've had a run in with one of the staff there. He was sort of rude, but I understand we all have bad days, so I'll definitely let that slide. It also looks like he had a lot of people to serve and a lot of them were being really awkward and causing him hassle. I have loved this pub... More
