Myself and my wife went down to cork for a weekend for my birthday and came across this pub, it was a Saturday night of a bank holiday weekend, 2/8/14 there was a great crowd in it when we arrived in, music was about to start and people were dining which have to say the food looked pretty good, great... Range of lunchtime grub is quite good and reasonably priced.Serving full on meals plus good range of sarnies.Plenty of objects to look at on the walls and high turnover of clientele.Service not very friendly but well stocked bar and conveniently placed for lunchtime trade for both shoppers and office workers.Does bowls of chips which always goes down well with the... I went here on a Sunday and heard great music! They have a standard variety of draught beer including a couple craft beers. The food was quite good and was an average price for a larger pub. It was clean and not cramped at all--a nice way to spend an evening for sure.

This pub was recommended by our B&B owner as place where one could enjoy traditional irish folk music and dancing. On the night we arrived three dancers were spontaneously tap-dancing outside the pub and when we arrived later after eating elsewhere the two musicians upstairs were obviously having a good time. The pair of tap-dancers danced on the tables and... More

Had lunch with the family. We had a buggy, 3 other kids and a person in a wheelchair in our group. sometimes this can be awkward in busy places like this but the staff here were really friendly and found us a table with absolutely no bothers, and even brought the food down to our table for us. The food... More

Was in Cork doing the back to school shopping with the family and stopped here for lunch. I have to say the staff were very helpful and friendly, as we had 3 kids and the baby's buggy. They found us a table though it was very busy and brought our meals and drinks to the table. The food was lovely,... More

I have been here on several occasions, for drinks, dinner and lunch. The service is absolutely non-exsistent. The tables are filthy, probably due to the lack of service staff, but the food is quite good.

Although the service was prompt and friendly if a little haphazard the food was distinctly average. Warm chicken salad was unseasoned and lacked any real flavour apart from the lardons; a little chilli sauce drizzled over what tasted like steamed chicken breast does not constiute flavouring. The beers are really good though

Went here one night while visiting Cork. They have live music and outdoor seating, but it can be hard to find a table (no host to help), and the food was below average. I ordered Irish stew and it was room temp, though the bowl was piping hot, indicating the use of a microwave to heat it up. My husband... More

This is a traditional pub and seems like an entertainment center. Multiple live music acts going on on different floors. We came in as a large group of eight and it was hard to find a place to have dinner. The Oliver Plunkett accommodated us upstairs and we were thrilled to find a live two man music act playing upstairs.... More
