We dropped into the South Country for an early dinner on the way to the nearby cork Airport to return home. We were around 5pm, so the place obviously wasn't very busy, The food is imaginative pub food, well prepared and presented. Service was friendly, and kid friendly. This place has lots of TVs for sport...they even changed the channel... More

Organised a night out for a group of 15 friends and was pleasantly surprised with the service. I rang to reserve an area and they told us not only would they reserve an area but would also provide us with complimentary finger food! The atmosphere on the night was terrific, great buzz for a week night and there was a... More

Visited South County last week and was not disappointed. There is a very good selection on the menu. Try the seafood pancakes -they are delish. Staff were very friendly.

Homemade brown bread and homemade preserves are to die for. Staff are lovely at this bar/restaurant. The only thing is that the bar is very dark inside.

You get the sense from the moment you walk inside that somebody is definitely in charge here. More than that, somebody who knows his business and cares about his customers.
