It has good food, trad music & great staff. This is a lovely big but cosy traditional bar that values it's customers. I think it's the best bars in Douglas & one of the best in Cork. The owner even came down to give my American friend t-shirts & wish her good luck on her journey home. We're local &... More

Go here for lunch from work about twice a week. Staff always friendly and courteous. Very good value for money. Food always of a high standard. Cosy athmosphere. The fire is perfect for a cold day. Only been there once during the evening for a pint and it was a very enjoyable night.

Recently visited this pub and was surprised at how big it is yet how cosy. We had a table next to the fire place and it was simply perfect for a cold day. I requested that the beef in my burger be replaced with chicken as I don't eat beef and it was no bother at all. Our waitress was... More

Superb value for money. For €10 I had a cup of soup, a choice of 3 main and a pint/glass of wine/or soft drink. 10:10... More
