The Courtyard @Sober Lane is part of the Flying Enterprise bar complex. Its located in an old school building very near the city centre across the pedestrian bridge from the Grand Parade. The pub itself is beautifully finished, with very nice woodwork, but we ate in the outside courtyard. There is a large covered area with its own bar, and... More

Great food, reasonably priced, choice of indoors, court-yard or cabin seating(outdoors but covered overlooking the court-yard). The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very convenient location close to the city centre.

This bar has built on a fabulous new open courtyard with an outdoor pizza hut with a clay oven...very impressive and very continental...you could be forgiven for thinking you were in Spain on a sunny day!! Went last week with my family and we had 3 children ages 3,9 and 12.Now let me explain that this is one of the... More

We have been returning to the Flying Enterprise for over 15 years now. We loved the toastie sandwiches in the small bar before it expanded into the Complex that it is today. We have eaten in the bar and in the restaurant and BBQ in the Courtyard and we cannot fault any part of it. The new addition of Pizza's... More

We held our wedding reception here this past weekend. The amount of work the owners have put into the courtyard is unreal. Its a truly unbelievable space. We had over 100 guests and each and every one was taken care of. The staff are amazing, all very friendly and extremely helpful and professional. Everyone enjoyed there dinner and thought there... Ate here recently and they really need to work on the food which not cheap.Best aspect of the place is the beer garden out the back though you might have to contend with the PA system blasting out Chris De Burgh at ear splitting levels like when we were there last.In fairness it was turned down when requested. The owner is... We held my son's communion party in the courtyard of the flying enterprise this weekend. First word that comes to mind is WOW. Every detail no matter how small was looked after. The food was amazing.and plenty of it .. put on fresh food for those who were late. Secured our area so it was totally safe for the children.... More

I went there on Patricks day with family and have to say I was disappointed. The portions were undersized, I had to order a side of chips. My carvery main course cost nearly 17 euros. 4 euros for a baby bowl, that's a first. The food in general was pretty average there's a lot better to be had in Cork... More
