I can only imagine how different the story would be for this place had the elysian not become the idle tower. The location is a fair walk from the city centre but worth it and there is plenty of parking nearby. The food was good, having steak and salad. We sat outside and at around 7-8 it's a great location.... More

Great food, imaginative and they'll tweak a dish for you if e.g. you're doing a low carb diet etc. Staff great and not intrusive. Lovely ambience. A warm cozy place. Brilliant duck. Fantastic (too big) cheeseboard.

Having been here last year for the Cork choral festival I must admit I was reluctant to revisit again this year. However, my low expectations were quickly surpassed. While the restaurant could do with a little refreshing (scuffed walls and chipped tables), the food and service were excellent. I heard afterwards that they had recently recruiyed a new head chef... We were a party of 11 who dined in El Vino Saturday night 12th April. Only one of us had eaten here before at Christmas and they had found service slow but as it was Christmas time they put it down to that. Our experience l'm afraid left us all in no doubt that none of us would be returning... More

Ate here as part of a group. Its ideal for groups as they have a mezzanine floor which means you are not disturbing other people out for dinner. The menu choice was varied and catered to everyone's tastes. The food was delis. Will definitely be back when i visit Cork again.

We were staying in the hotel across the river so the location was ideal for our group booking of 22. We had reserved the upstairs area and I have to say we had a fantastic night. The menu choice offered something for all tastes, the food was delicious and the service was great. Thanks to the team at El Vino... More

Went with work colleagues on a wet & windy Friday night, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good with the exception of those who ordered steak- while orders went from rare to medium, everything was cooked medium/well done. Not acceptable for such a basic requirement. Starter & desserts were excellent. Wine list is well balanced if a little on... More

We had an unplanned business lunch and we chose EL Vino @ The Elysian as it has 2 car parks close by. Given that it was a Friday and end of month we were worried that we wouldn't get a table. Well, while the restaurant was very busy, the staff were very accommodating and the 5 of us were seated... More

Hi, I have decided to write to you to give you some feedback on a recent visit I had to your restaurant in town. Having been to El Vino in Douglas on many occasions and always found the staff very friendly, the food of a high standard and the service equally impressive, I expected the same of your city establishment.... Went here with my family (4 people). 2 staff on floor. Was received very warmly. Was obvious throughout that our waiter, an American woman, was experienced. Xmas menu but while that usually makes my spirits plummet when I see it, this was not a Turkey and Ham effort. No Xmas pudding to be seen thankfully. I had prawns pil pil,... More
