Came here on our first evening in Cork and weren't disappointed. We opted for a set meal including crispy duck with pancakes, a chicken dish and 2 beef dishes (we swapped the standard prawn dish as Mrs LovelyDinosaur doesn't 'do' prawns). All dishes were cooked to perfection! Plenty of rice too. Ask for rice bowls if you prefer using chopsticks... More

Would recommend the dumplings! Was a pleasant surprise how good they were. I also had the fried chilli chicken which lacked a bit of flavour. Would come back for sure!

The restaurant inside has beautiful carved wood panels and ceiling which gives the place a very Chinese atmosphere.Staff are efficient and friendly . My friend had the chiken fried rice and said it was the best he had ever had. Prawn toast was delicious also. Reasonably priced too.

I have visited Yuan Ming Yuan 3-5 times, all of them with my wife and daughter. Everytime we visit, we order 6-8 different dishes, and take home the leftovers. I can recommend their beef, it is one of the dishes we order every time. The restaurant is hidden on princess street, its rather dark, but inside, the atmosphere feels authentic,... More

Ate here 30 Aug, our last night in Cork and had a great meal. Decided to share 5 dim sum dishes (spring rolls, shui mai, har gow, fried prawn dumplings & pork pot stickers - all very good) and a duck and vegie hot pot. Glad we came here and would recommend this to others. Also - try sharing so... More

I loved this place. The second time I have been to Cork and this restaurant would make me return. I went with one friend and after reading a few reviews, I was hoping for good things. On arrival, we were welcomed by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. The decor and ambiance were just... More

Beautiful food in an authentic Chinese setting. Great customer service, excellent value for money and very family friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to any young family.

This is a lovely little restaurant with a mixed clientele so obviously has wide appeal. The food is reasonably priced for what you get and the staff are so friendly, and child friendly too. I had the pork belly stew (can't remember the traditional name) and there was plenty, I only ate it all because it was so good, half... More

We visit this restaurant on a regular basis. The decor is traditional chinese, a little dark but very atmospheric, with a few nice secluded alcoves. We have been here for lunch and dinner. The service is both friendly and efficient. The food is good and well presented - nothing exceptional in terms of the standard chinese fare you expect to... More
