I've grown up visiting KC's. Their food has always been interesting, adventurous, of great quality and value. Don't worry about the queue, just bring a coat and umbrella if the weather isn't great. You won't be long waiting, and trust me, it's worth the wait. The place is full of wit and character. We always bring visitors here. The experience... More

What taste, what choice, I would travel Ireland for this food it is just the best. The chips are fab. The burgers are just delicious, pulled pork brilliant. I am finding it difficult to describe how amazing it is. Better get there early though queues down the street. It's a Cork thing!

/8 years sincE we had a kc's. On holiday home we had all agreed the visit to "the best chipper in the world" was going to be a highlighter.all I wanted was the taste of the homemade burgers meat patties and pies again. What a let down. Burger like rubber potato pie wet and slimy and the patties destroyed in... More

Every time I'm in town I grab some food there. I'ts always fresh, nice, portions are massive ,it's mouth watering and it's just one of those places that do their own food and don't change it I think like ever(because nobody get's bored of it). The wait is quite long, as it's usually packed, but there's a reason for that.... More

This is a well loved Cork fast food outlet based in an unassuming small red brick cottage in Douglas village. Opened in 1958 it consistently serves interesting, locally sourced and reasonably priced take away food. Even the staff here are interesting, they are ever efficient and good humoured and down through the years artists, some of renown and even a... More

Staying with family in nearby Donnybrook when I was introduced to KC & Son & Sons to give this famous Institution it's full title. First time did not have to Q but then this is part of the novelty especially late at night after a few pints and a great way to finish a night out. Lots of pubs nearby... More
