Get the King Creole

Normally I am a very picky eater but love the King Creole, always really good at taking the orders and ensuring that people get what they want ie whether they want salad or not. Long queues but well worth the wait just a sign of the good food, chips are nice, chicken curry is also great, great... read more

This is a very small takeaway in Douglas. There is an extensive menu and all meals are very good.Very popular and always very busy.Be prepared to queue on the street.

With a cool and unusual menu and regular queuing K.C.s is not your usual chipper. It's special. In my opinion it's because they combine traditional takeaway fare with exotic spices and flavours to create exceptional food. So the queues aren't there for no reason, as I regularly point out to the doubters. It's by a million miles my favourite takeaway... More

Visited during the festive period and as usual not disappointed. Great quality and value as always. Whilst there is always a queue out the door they process the queue very quickly so you don't have long to wait. Recommended.

There's always a line here, and there is a reason for that. This is excellent, absolutely fantastic post-pub chow, exceedingly tasty and fresh, produced quickly. Unfortunately, there is no eating-in, as it is takeaway only. There is a huge range of things to choose from, almost all of them involving meat and potatoes and spice and sauce and all kinds... Definitely the best chipper in Cork. There are long queues but they have a camera feed on the website so you can wait for a quiet time

One of the most famous chippers in the area. Pros: Tasty chipper much loved by the locals Cons: The Queues The Queues outweigh the food for me. It's a pity you can't phone ahead and collect your order.

Well worth the queuing! I have never been disappointed with KC's. Good quality food, friendly efficient staff, they should really expand, would make a killing!
