Staying with family in nearby Donnybrook when I was introduced to KC & Son & Sons to give this famous Institution it's full title. First time did not have to Q but then this is part of the novelty especially late at night after a few pints and a great way to finish a night out. Lots of pubs nearby... More

Love KC's. Always a queue & no-one seems to mind. My favourite is their Polynesian (chicken with pineapple, mustard flavour & a few chips thrown in for good measure!). Very tasty, bursting with flavours and a nice portion size too for only €4.85. The menu has great choice and is well priced. If they keep this up, this place will... More

This is a well oiled machine . The staff are pleasant and well trained to produce fast tasty food to the masses. Dont be put off by the queue, your order is taken at the door and by the time you get to the till your food is cooked to perfection . This is some of the best fish I... More

The marketing is better than the food. Not worth the wait. For the first time in my life, I couldn't finish a portion of chicken, but not due to the size, it was just dry and overcooked. The chips were ok, not outstanding by any means. My husband was kept awake by the grease soaked pitta repeating on him. We... More

My friends live in Douglas and had told me about this place. So, my new husband and I went with them after a day of shopping in Cork. OH MY WOW! We got back to our friend's home and I finally got to open my bag and pop a chip in my mouth. I was transported to being a little... More

KCs is a great chipper. The service is fast and friendly. The food is pretty good quality. The portions are a good size and reasonably priced. The menu is pretty unique and diverse. There's only one criticism which is the very small venue they work out of. For such a popular chipper the queue can literally span half the length... More

whenever I pass its packed, literally crawling out the door, Its like the size of an alley way but less than half the size in lenght, its way to small you be getting claustrophobic waiting in the que. I think its like any other chipper no difference at all still serve the same greasy food that I get better elsewhere... More
