Great value and fine food

Iv dined here several times. its not the very finest of restaurants but then it does not pretend to be. the lunchtime fare is fast, high quality and reasonably priced. the evening meal service in the restaurant proper is equally fine and service is quite good. the ambiance is fine but nothing... read more

Dined here a few time, most recently for my partner's birthday dinner. It unfortunately didn't feel like anywhere special. I had a prawn main course which I actually found to be very bland & lacked flavours. It wasn't cheap either. There are much nicer spots around Douglas and larger Cork area, so I don't think I would be rushing back... More

We recently had Sunday dinner in Barry's and left very satisfied with our experience. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and very efficient at what they do . The food was top quality, very enjoyable and the quantity was unreal probably even too much. All in all great value staff and food. Highly recommended

Heard great things about the food so I decided to check it out. What a disappointment , food was cold and wasn't as we ordered even down to their skinny fries which were fatter that normal chips .... Would definitely not go back !

I wrote a review before stating how much I love Barrys. I eat here most weeks at least once a week and recommend this restaurant all the time. However, last night I was so disappointed. As always the waiting staff were so efficient and friendly. However, our food took ages, practically an hour, to come out. Ordinarily this wouldn't bother... More

I was in Cork on a work trip and we went to Barry's for dinner. The parking in the area if you do not know it is not easy. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and its surrounding are very comfortable. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and service is good. The food is very tasty. No complaints from me.... More

Had dinner here with friends just before Christmas. The service is excellent despite being a very busy restaurant. The menu was varied and all three of us enjoyed our meals. The quality of food was excellent and good value for money. Really nice atmosphere and nice to be able to wander into the bar for a drink afterwards. Would highly... More

In looking at reviews I put on here I wondered whether I was being a bit lenient, not harsh enough. However, I'm not a food critic and preselect the places I go to try and ensure I go to places that appeal with good menus. Alas it is here with Barry's that I have to give a downcast review. Been... Rudest staff ever in Barry's tonight, it's my local when visiting home but will not be back. Note to management less time decorating the windows & more time training staff in the very basics of customer service wouldn't go a miss.

We held our Xmas staff party here on the 13/12/14 and I had to leave a review to say what a fantastic night we had. We were a party of 45 and we were given our own reserved section of the bar. The finger food was delicious, high quality and went down a treat with all our staff. The atmosphere... More
