No Lows at the Watermarq Restaurant

We had not eaten in the restaurant in this hotel before although we had good food in the bar upstairs on several occasions. Dining for two on a voucher means one is asked to choose from the Á La Carte menu. We chose a prawn cocktail as one starter and roast pear as the other starter. Service was... read more

Went here for dinner having received a gift of a voucher for xmas. Beautiful restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the pork belly which came with black pudding and did not feel well after finishing it. A few hours later i began vomiting and continued to do so for 14 hours. As my girlfriend also... Went for afternoon tea at this hotel recently with my husband. It started off well with polite staff guiding us to our table followed with glasses of prosecco. However the afternoon tea offering was really really poor. Confectrey comprised of what looked like options from the freezer section from a low cost supermarket with little if no kitchen preparation involved.... More

Have eaten here previously, however they must have a new chef! What a bonus....beautifully presented dinner and great portions. Service was a bit slow (2 hours to eat a 3 course meal....) and there was a party on and the music was very loud.

Had breakfast and an evening meal in the place. Food good quality and value if you go for the 50euro family offer. However waiting staff not very helpful or attentive, seemed to filter down from senior staff resulting in a bad atmosphere.

We had a gorgeous hot lunch here from the carvery, and at 10 euro per plate, what value. Everything was beautifully fresh, tasty and a huge portion size. My elderly dad had loin of bacon. They gave him two large slices, mashed potato, cabbage, carrots, roast potato and parsley sauce. He said 'I'll never eat all that', and proceeded to... More

We had to leave home early to be in Cork for an appointment for early one Saturday morning. We wondered where to stop for breakfast and were advised by a few people to get to Cork, and go to the Silver Springs for breakfast, and that we wouldn't regret it. How right these people were. We had full Irish breakfasts... More

I had to organize a family event to cater for 80+ family and friends the staff in the Watermarq restaurant couldn't have been more helpful, they were extremely pleasant and very obliging whenever we had a request. The food was amazing, I couldn't fault it in anyway, our compliments to the chef. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone... More

Myself and some of my friends met in the lounge bar for a meal and a few catch up drinks. There were 10 of us in total and ordered a few different items from the menu, from steaks, pork and burgers to chicken pasta and toasties. When our food arrived it was cooked to our liking, presented beautifully and tasted... More
