Nice place, but is far too pricey in comparison to other great places in Cork. Had a nice sandwich but felt the price was not justified. However, I will return and try the chowder which I assuming should be tasty as the restaurant has such magnificent access to beautiful fish.

Went here for lunch based on TA reviews. Not much new to say but to continue to endorse the reputation of this small restaurant that sits on the second floor of the English Market. You order when entering and are seated after order/pay. Our food was fantastic. Fresh and plentiful. Lamb stew was delicious. Desserts all looked amazing. We had... More

Ate lunch here yesterday as part of a large group. Drisheen & Tripe was very tastey, great to see it on a menu. Service was excellent, friendly and relaxed, will definitely be returning.

Nestled above the English Market in the heart of Cork is this wonderful restaurant. It's arranged in a gallery, making use of the upper balconies around the market. Most of the produce comes from the market itself. Service is brisk and friendly. Seafood chowder was very good. The lamb stew looked terrific. I had a salad which was good. It's... More

Excellent food and service in this small, bustling restaurant. They serve well cooked local produce & have an good range of food & drinks to choose from. We had the added attraction of a live guitarist on our second visit. I can highly recommend the susages with bacon & lentils - delicious! The flour free chocolate cake was pretty good... More

Had a simple salmon salad sandwich for lunch and a slice of their own almond and peach cake, my wife had the same sandwich with the flourless choclate cake. My word what a great flavoured sandwich and as for the cakes, devine. Only sorry we did not have a chance to go back, it was superb, craic, service and food... More

This was only my second visit to Cork and on the first occasion, a few years ago, someone recommended the English Market and the Farmgate. Both are well worth a visit, so I returned for lunch with my wife and two friends. They shared my enthusiasm and we had a really well cooked two course lunch and a bottle of... More

This is first class for good quality food. I had seafood chowder with Brie and beetroot sandwich. It was fantastic. The place is always busy which tells you how good it is.
