We got toasted sandwiches and they were great!!! Service was ok too! Strange vibe but definitely a place we'll be back to!

Having heard great reviews I visited Farmgate for a breakfast blaa, and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had! Lovely bacon and sausage, a nice egg, perfectly toasted blaa, and served with some excellent relish and pickled cucumbers. Couldn't have been better for brunch! Location is great too, especially on the balcony overlooking the market, though the... More

Myself and 4 friends visited Farmgate after a visit to the English market. We were lucky to sit inside, as it was a very cold day, although they do have blankets and an outdoor heater for warmth if you are on the outside balcony. The staff were keen to know if we were to have lunch there. We ordered our meals,... More

Three of us visited the Farmgate Restaurant recently and while the staff were excellent, the restaurant was cold and I thought the limited menu was completely overpriced - €13 for a slice of tart (quiche) and some dressed leaves. The food was tasty but you could have got equally good food for much less nearby i.e. two course early bird... More

I came here for breakfast, and went for a classic Full Irish. The food was all delicious, in particular the sausage and pudding, and it was really great to have a coffee or meal with the views of the English Market below. Inside, the walls are surrounded with letter records and old chemist style displays, and it really adds to... More

The staff treated my sister and I as if we were beneath the average clientele they hoped to attract to this establishment. We watched several other tables receive a pitcher of water and bread before the wait staff could be bothered to bring our Cokes. After waiting nearly twenty minutes for our beverages, we figured the soup we ordered could... More

My wife and I had a very tasty lunch here over Christmas. We had no reservation, but were seated within ten minutes. Our server was a bit harried, as the restaurant was very busy, but overall he did ok. We were seated in the 'piano room' area, which is separate from the main dining area but still overlooks the English... More

I have only been in the Cafe part of the Farmgate, in the English Market, not the restaurant. The cafe is a lovely spot for a coffee or a light bite, but I have been disappointed on a couple of occasions. On my last visit the coffee nearly burned my lip off! It was way too hot for a latte.... While the food itself is delicious, the experience is more about the restaurant's location - on the second floor overlooking the English Market. Great atmosphere and a nice place to relax and people-watch. The staff is always friendly and the food very fresh... just avoid at lunchtime as it gets crowded!!
