Posh and good restaurant in Cork

This restaurant is extremely nice and posh, the location is wonderful especially outdoor. Staff is very nice, efficient and professional. This is the right place if you are looking for a special dinner, also because prices aren’t cheap (but quality is very high). I had a soup as entry, then a... read more

The that my wife and I had was absolutely perfect in every aspect. Quality, quantity and served at the right time and temperature. We were first shown to a nice table but at the other side of the restaurant where there is a waterfall feature. However before we ordered a member of staff invited us to a table right beside... Amazing place in the heart of Cork City Centre with great food served. All dishes were very well served and deliciously tasted... Really recommend for a night out with friends or with your partner/ spouse also for business dinner.

We got a booking for 8pm in Greenes restaurant and as we had planned a special night out, were looking forward to it very much. We arrived on time at 8pm and sat in the bar until we were given a table at 8.30 pm alongside other people who were also waiting for tables. My partner ordered a soup as... More

My family have gone here a couple of times and have been raving about it, so I was delighted to get the chance to try it at the weekend. The setting with the waterfall is beautiful, but the dining room itself could do with some work - but just an observation. Firstly, the bread is delicious and plentiful. We had... More

Most welcoming and enthusiastic staff. We opted for the early bird menu and the food was the best I have tasted in years. From the goats cheese starter for me and the salmon for my partner it was a great start. The mains were chefs special lamb which was delicious to hake for my partner again beautifully done. The desserts... More

Both my partner & I started with the pork belly and black pudding dumplings, served with cider jelly & apple puree. For main we both opted for the mushroom risotto with truffle oil which was more than ample and just beautiful. For dessert I the panna cotta with rhubarb & my partner opted for the chocolate brownie. Some of the best... More

Solo diner, arrived shortly after 8 and was seated at the bar, as there were no tables in the restaurant, surprising for a Wednesday night. Early bird menu for €30, 3 courses runs all night Monday-Wednesday. Started with the pork belly and black pudding dumplings, mushroom risotto entrée and the panna cotta with rhubarb for dessert. Some of the best... More

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your great review, we are delighted with your feedback. I am sorry that we were unable to accommodate you in the dining room on the evening in question, it isn't always necessary to make a booking but thankfully we had a table in the bar on this occasion. Our Early Bird menu is hugely successful... More

I can honestly say this experience was beyond any I've had in Cork, while most Cork restaurants are gastropubs or very good bistros, Greene's really gives a fine dining experience beyond what I have known in Cork. the walk in allows a moment to forget you are in Cork, for if asked blind, you would say you were in a... We didn't eat here but had wine by the fountain, the guy behind the bar was shocking, we waited for 5-10 mins before he stopped what he was doing at the bar (we were the only ones there) he didn't even acknowledge us, even when he did it was minimum conversation, we didn't and probably won't ever return, much better...
