We chose to stay in and have our meal here. We enjoyed the aesthetics of the Bar, a hopping place with good food and service, what a nice touch of an Irish evening meal for us! Stay at the Old Ground and enjoy your meal here!

Good pub grub, nice music when we were there and the bartenders and waitstaff were very friendly. They could do with more comfortable seats and barstools though. Any place run by Allan Flynn is a winner and no one more so that The Old Ground Hotel and it's legendary Poet's Corner bar. Beautiful bar food and great music at night. The Poet's Corner bar specializes in Traditional Irish music and the musicians are all of a very high calibre. Many have Cd's published. The bar is spacious... More

Three lunches, juice and coffees for around 34 Euros - all very nice. Couldn't complain at all. Nice cosy bar with plenty of parking out back. Very busy on a Friday lunch time so clearly very popular locally. Service very good.
