Lovely busy bar and good food

Myself and wife were staying in the hotel and visited. The bar food is really nice. We both had the burger which was home made and tasted lovely. There's plenty of staff and mho hassle getting a drink. There's a good atmosphere and was bustling on the nights we visited. Staff are lovely, something... read more

This place is always busy so at times struggled to get a table, however there is usually a stool at the bar to perch on and take in the atmosphere. Service excellent.

We stopped in for a quick bite and stayed all night once we heard the magnificent trad music, good pub grub, decent Guinness , nice well mannered staff, clean toilets , what more can I say, be sure to visit on Friday nights or Saturdays as that's when the music is, I think it starts at 10pm

A great place to eat, any time of the day or evening. Great food, great value and great portions. There is also traditional music there on several nights each week.

Was here a few months ago, and it's all a good report. We had a bit of a wait to be seated as there was a wedding on but the bartender fair play to him got us a table well he had 3 staff on the look out for one. Now my favourite part the burger what can I say... More

Went there friday evening about 7 and had to wait for about 30 mins for table for bar food. No issue with this as we had a drink at the bar while waiting. It was mad busy as usual but worth the wait for table. Good bar food and service. Music starting at 10pm that night. Would highly recommend this... More

I planned to stop here for lunch. Which I did, but a late one. I asked the server about the lunch menu, and she kindly went and asked if the meal I wanted was still available, and it was. Chicken in a whiskey sauce, with veggies, mash and chips. And a Guinness for me, of course. The bar is beautiful,... More

..and the Irish Coffees are good too ! I generally go with my sister for lunch and we sit at the bar. Sometime we'll get a full meal then skip dinner or sometimes we'll have a toastie each and split an order of chips. Good stuff in an attractive room.
