Delicious food and great music!

This is a very popular place and rightly so. The atmosphere is lively and cozy. We sat in a booth in a little nook with a window-very poet's corner. Music started in the bar at 10. Go to dinner early enough to get in and stay and enjoy the music.

Popped on on a Saturday night for a table of 8. Told to come back in half an hour and despite being packed we were found 2 tables which could be pushed together. We had a mixture of main courses but I would recommend the fish dishes. Lots of fresh veg. And the fish was excellently cooked.

After checking several places we opened the door of Poet's Corner at about 7 pm on Sunday and it seemed totally crowded but we were immediately invited to the bar for a drink with a promise that there would be a table for us soon. Indeed we were seated in the comfortable armchairs. The atmosphere of the place is memorable,... More

Go somewhere else - too busy once settling in for music - pubs down the street have better ambiance and music and service.

Had a nice pint or two of Guinness, listening to the trad music session. Really nicely done out. Didn't eat there. Definitely recommended for a drink or two.

The starters were both good, garlic mushrooms and seafood chowder, but the mains were less so. The vol au vent was recommended to us but it wasn't hot enough and there was nothing special about it. It was badly presented on the plate and seemed as though it had been microwaved. I was expecting excellent flavours but it was disappointing.... More

Had a lunch here as well as some drinks and dinner later in the evening. The food was delicious, very friendly and attentive staff. Especially enjoyed the Irish musical entertainment of the evening

The staff are lovely but the food is very average - expected better after reading the reviews - disappointed. We had the vol au vent and the fish and chips - the former was apparently the most popular menu item but can't work out why..

Beautifully decorated bar with all staff immaculately dressed in white shirts and aprons. We had dinner here before heading towards Shannon airport. My wife had the fishcakes and I had the fillet steak. Both dishes were beautifully tasty and were served with a smile and washed down with a lovely pint of Guiness
