Went there friday evening about 7 and had to wait for about 30 mins for table for bar food. No issue with this as we had a drink at the bar while waiting. It was mad busy as usual but worth the wait for table. Good bar food and service. Music starting at 10pm that night. Would highly recommend this... More

I planned to stop here for lunch. Which I did, but a late one. I asked the server about the lunch menu, and she kindly went and asked if the meal I wanted was still available, and it was. Chicken in a whiskey sauce, with veggies, mash and chips. And a Guinness for me, of course. The bar is beautiful,... More

..and the Irish Coffees are good too ! I generally go with my sister for lunch and we sit at the bar. Sometime we'll get a full meal then skip dinner or sometimes we'll have a toastie each and split an order of chips. Good stuff in an attractive room.

We both had the vol-au-vents from the lunch menu and they are gorgeous! I had them with mash and vegetables, the mash was lovely and creamy and the veg was nicely al dente. My partner had chips and salad and found there it too was delicious. Lovely atmosphere to the pub and you're ALWAYS guaranteed great food.

The food was very good and the traditional Irish music was lively. We loved the cozy feel but it could get very crowded. Not much information the poets altho their pictures were prominently hung on the walls. Was one of our regular stops.

The trad band was excellent and people were dancing around the bar. A definite stop if you're visiting Ennis

Value for money, good music if there at right time but can be a bit packed and difficult to get a seat

the poets corner is an institution in itself. I'm not a lover of vol au vents but my husband is. I always go for the quiche. It's delicious. I love the side salad that accompanies it but on my last visit I was bitterly disappointed that the pine nuts were removed from the salad and it was presented to me... More
