I was in Clare recently for a wedding and I just happened upon this quaint little café. A nice surprise. I would recommend to a friend, definitely!

Ate under a tree on a warm day a late lunch. Tasty sandwiches and some good cookies for the road. Would have liked to take some samples if the MANY other delectables but the car called along with the garage! Nice stop

We arrived late on Sunday evening on the way home from Youghal weary and hungry. We ordered the chowder, quiche, soup and gigantic salad served with various breads. The quiche was delicious and tasty served with potato salad and leafy salad and went down with the white wine very well. The carrot and coriander soup was tasy. The chowder was wholesome... More

A lesser-known gem in Ennis and definite must-visit for Francophiles and those who can afford to appreciate fine-dining. I have yet to try the food but I often come here for tea/coffee and recommend the place based on the atmosphere alone. You feel just like you are in Jean-Pierre Jeunet film sitting amongst the fancy cheeses, wines and quirky ornaments.... More

This is a great place to go on rare sunny days in Ennis, to enjoy lunch outside, or an early evening glass of wine. Only one or two tables indoors, so not ideal to visit on wet or cold days. While the food is good, the food is unjustifiably expensive.

I needed a quick toasted sandwich and tea and while I had no complaint about the food I would consider it expensive

This is my local wine bar where I and many others spend far too much time sipping wine. The atmosphere is always great & the tapas excellent. On summer days & balmy evenings it is wonderful to sit outside & watch the world go by, while the cozy interior is perfect for all other times. A must visit place while... More

I have eaten in The Gourmet Store twice, the second time we actually went to Ennis just because we wanted to eat here. The shop/cafe is situated on a little square of sorts and has nice seating outside under a canopy. There is also seating inside the shop for those inclement days. The cafe serves a nice range of lunches... More

I've had the pleasure of eating here, and numerous coffee stops with Anne and David, and to say it is an experience is a major understatement! They welcome you with a heart and a half, and always go the extra mile to ensure you're comfortable. On cooler evenings, blankets are provided for those who choose to sit outside under 'the... More

A lovely restaurant, particularly if the weather is good enough to sit outside. The menu is slightly different and the ingredients are always fresh. They have a good, and different, range of wines and beers. It is slightly expensive, particularly for salads, but worth it for a treat.
