I heard that you are "supposed to " go to Ted's if you at the North Shore. Huge portions for breakfast, not really inexpensive. The coffee kept me awake until 4AM. Tried the pie, don't understand the hype.

"Best glazed donuts ever" according to my 10yr old son. We even went back for more about an hour later! Yeah, it's a dump. Yeah, it's a bit dirty. You're not having surgery there, are you? If you're on Oahu and you're going to Sunset Beach (and you should) you should stop at Ted's.

I think about Ted's a few times a week since returning. The food is top notch and standing in line for breakfast with all the surfers made it feel very local. It's just a short drive from Turtle Bay Resort where we stayed. Tried the Loco Moco (delicious!), Spam Musubi (I dream about this) and the pecan roll (amazing!!!). Didn't... More

It's a little run down, actually it's a dump. But the food is awesome, and the pie and pastries are unbelievable. We stayed at Turtle Bay and ate breakfast here almost every day.

It has become tradition when visiting Oahu to stop at Ted's Bakery for pie after an afternoon of snorkeling, hiking, etc. I don't think they could make a pie that's not excellent. I think my favorite is their Pineapple Macademia Cheesecake, but their strawberry cream, blueberry cream and red velvet cake were amazing too! They also serve actual meals and... More

Had to stop at Ted's Bakery when visiting Sharks Cove and driving along the north shore from Waimea Bay. There were 3 of us and we shared 2 plate lunches. One mixed grill with short ribs, chicken and shrimp and another with mahi mahi, both came with rice and macaroni salad. The fish was so fresh, melted in our mouths....huge... More

This is a cute little blue house restaurant on the north shore just steps away from the beach. There are tables and chairs outside. It was a little hard to find. Our GPS was no help. We stopped and asked a woman where it was and she gave us great directions and asked us to bring her a pie. I... More

EVERYTHING is great about Ted. You can easily miss it so drive slowly! The PIES-! We tried every flavor and they were ALL so light and YUM! We didn't try their food but they look delish too. this is a MUST stop when you go to the NOrth Shore.

Haupia pie is delicious. Make with coconut milk. Go early. Gets really crowded in the mornings. Had the fried rice with scrambled eggs and Portuguese sausage twice. Really good and enough for at least two people to share.
