I read about the iconic Ted on a number of sites and decided to be adventurous and give it the college try, I could have quite easily decided to sit by the pool at Turtle Bay but no I wanted to try something more authentic. The long line and longer wait suggested something special despite the fact I couldn't smell... More

Was in town for a wedding so we rented a house on the North Shore. Very few things were walking distance from the house but luckily, Ted's was the closest and we were not disappointed! I grabbed some pastries for breakfast and they were gone quickly. I didn't try the loco moco but others in the house did and they... More

People RAVE about this bakery, but honestly, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's tradition. I mean, there's nothing WRONG with it, but I've been to better bakeries. The pie kinda looks like 'Bakers Square' to me ...

Impossible to go to the Northshore of Hawaii and not going there to have a butter bread, a pie or any delicious food that they have. Everytime we go there we stop for a while!!!

I skipped the pie... it was pre packaged and obviously made elswhere. I had a cinnamon roll the first time... it was dry with way too much frosting. The next visit I chose a regular cinnamon roll with more of a glaze and loved it. The French donut ball things were really good... but I could tell they were way... More

We were driving to the North Shore during our 10 day visit & had been told by locals about Ted's Bakery & what a find! Fabulous & yummy assortment of Hawaiian breads that are used for breakfast & lunch items; yummy musibi & spam and more! Places to eat there but we took our food & drinks and ate at... More

We happened upon Ted's Bakery the first time when there was hardly any tourist overflow; we bought the traditionally famous chocolate haupia pie, took note that it was not only a bakery, but that lunches were served and one of them (the garlic shrimp) even included a slice of pie as a dessert. We continued on our way, planning to... More

Get the chocolate haupia pie....I don't think I've ever had a better pie. The family reviews on the main course and lunch meals were mixed, we didn't have any breakfast there so no beta for you there but if you go just for the chocolate haupia pie, you are miles/km's ahead!

There aren't any restaurants in the area so besides the excellent food trucks Ted's Bakery is a must. From pie to teriyaki sandwiches it is the bomb.

This place has some tasty pies. We ordered desserts from here for a family member's wedding, and the guests found something they loved. I was surprised by the strawberry guava pie - so good. I snuck out in the mornings during vacation to get pie and danishes. My favorites were the strawberry guava pie and the cream danish. And the... More
