Went to malt and Myre for chippy buffet on Friday night . We had already had a bad experience with breakfasts ( the staff greeted us by saying "breakfasts are finishing in twenty minutes ", got worse from there) but decided to give it another go. On arrival we got the usual question , have you booked? .Not a nice... More

Stopped here for tea on a long journey. I clearly got off on the wrong foot with Clare when I ordered at the bar as I didn't have my table number at hand my mistake. After finding out where I was sitting I was then served by Jade T at 20:04 I order chicken wings and a mixed grill to... More

My partner and I decided to try this place for food as we had only previously popped in for drinks. Where do I start? The place wasn't busy but 2 tables next to the one we chose were covered in plates and glasses. Our table was cleared but not cleaned and the carpet and seat were also covered in food... More

It was a Friday evening and a busy one. Nevertheless I do not expect to stand waiting in a queue for 15 minutes to order food and drink at the bar. There were only two staff on bar duty. We went for the Buffet "all you can eat" option which looked good value but turned out not to be as... More

My young son who loves bacon had a great time ordering his meal of just bacon and beans my daughter loved going up to pick out... More

Had dinner here after our arrival at adjacent Premier Inn. Busy Sunday afternoon service and we were told there would be a 30 mins delay on food .In reality it was far less than this so a nice surprise. We had grilled Salmon salad and Beefburger with cheese and bacon topping. This was followed by Oreo cookie pie and signature... More

Brewers Fayre and Beefeater Pub / Restaurants attached to Premier Inns are all owned by the Whitbread Group, but the comparison stops right there. During our recent trip to Scotland we stayed at different Premier Inns and dined in both types of restaurant. On the first night at the Malt & Myre we ordered the steak pie -- however it... More

I am reminded of the old adage that "A second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience" when reviewing Brewers Malt and Myre. I have been here several times, mainly because it's near, and I don't have a car. I can't think of any other advantage it has. Like I say, if you're stuck.. Oh, and it helps if... More
