It was a Friday evening and a busy one. Nevertheless I do not expect to stand waiting in a queue for 15 minutes to order food and drink at the bar. There were only two staff on bar duty. We went for the Buffet "all you can eat" option which looked good value but turned out not to be as... More

Had dinner here after our arrival at adjacent Premier Inn. Busy Sunday afternoon service and we were told there would be a 30 mins delay on food .In reality it was far less than this so a nice surprise. We had grilled Salmon salad and Beefburger with cheese and bacon topping. This was followed by Oreo cookie pie and signature... More

Brewers Fayre and Beefeater Pub / Restaurants attached to Premier Inns are all owned by the Whitbread Group, but the comparison stops right there. During our recent trip to Scotland we stayed at different Premier Inns and dined in both types of restaurant. On the first night at the Malt & Myre we ordered the steak pie -- however it... More

I am reminded of the old adage that "A second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience" when reviewing Brewers Malt and Myre. I have been here several times, mainly because it's near, and I don't have a car. I can't think of any other advantage it has. Like I say, if you're stuck.. Oh, and it helps if... More

After being into your restaurant for lunch I decided to takes wife and two children to the chicken feast buffet night. We arrived in the restaurant just as the buffet had started. My son and daughter wanted to order off the kids menu. My son chose the macaroni and my daughter chose the hot dog as this came with a... More

We were a group of six and had an average meal, there are no claims to be anything fancy or high end so you get what you would expect, i.e. an edible meal and a fairly pleasant evening.

Popped in for a bite to eat with friends on the way back from Loch Lomond. Saturday evening around 7pm, a few tables available. Noted table number and ordered at the bar. Told there was a 25 minute wait for food, that wasn't a problem and at least we were informed when we ordered. Food arrived after 25 minutes, so... More
