From the moment I turned down the road the hotel is welcoming. The staff were warm and friendly, all of them. Lunch was an experience to behold, every single element was perfection itself. I really enjoyed my lunch. A big thank you to everyone for making it so wonderful.

When I decide to eat in a 1 Michelin star restaurant my expectations are, as have to be, very high. I do no want only to eat well, as i do in many other non starred restaurant, but to enjoy a food experience. In the Kinloch I did not have such experience at all and moreover i did not like... More

This was our first Michelin dining experience, and we realise that it isn't just about food. The service, presentation, combinations of ingredients resulted in food that was sublime. We had the tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed every single mouthful. Marcello is a genius in the kitchen. I can't describe how good the food was with words, so I'm not even... More

The restaurant rides on the historic laurels of the past chef Clare MacDonald but when we were there, the chef was a guy from Brazil and we were very unimpressed. Maybe it was better under Clare MacDonald. Every dish we ate was over sugared, even in the appetizer and main course. Sugar should not be used as a spice. We... More

First and foremost, our meal at the restaurant restored our faith in the Michelin Star rating system. My wife and I try and celebrate special occasions with a meal at a Michelin Starred restaurant but of late had become rather unenamoured of what was on offer. Some of the combinations were just too "far out there" (using ingredients that didn't... More

Went for dinner. Like the hotel and decor. Small country house with lots of paintings and comfortable chairs. Made to feel welcome by the chef at the door and the bar and waiting staff. We had only booked in the morning and the only time they could offer us was 6.30pm. We accepted thinking it must be very busy. Arrived... More

There's not a lot to say about this place: the service was good, the food extremely yummy, the restaurant comfortable and pleasant. The lounge is perhaps a little small, but there are books and pictures all around to look at. We had venison which was lean but soft and tender -- not an easy feat. Particularly nice pudding with chocolate... More

Great reputation, wonderful location, swanky decor if you like that country house, chintzy vibe (nothing wrong with it) but we went for the food and it was, well, a bit ordinary for the money. New(ish) chef from Brazil. Scallops with peanut sauce? Not working for me. Everything else was OK (roast pepper and olive soup actually very flavourful and the... More
