Popped in for lunch although the food was heavenly the cost wasn't made a big no no there. Of the beaten track, hotel looks lovely if you have the money.

5 course dinner with locally sourced fresh food prepared in a subtle way. Scallops with crushed peanut sauce and wild pigeon were absolutely top. Excellent friendly service.

We visited last October and returned September this year. Service was faultless and the food amazing. They very kindly catered for my shellfish allergy (when I made the reservation, the restaurant remembered from the first time we visited). A(nother) reason to visit the Isle of Skye (again and again) in my opinion.

This restaurant came highly recommended to us, so even though we stayed in Portree, an hour away from Kinloch Lodge, we decided to brave the roads and treat ourselves to a nice dinner here. The food was amazing (we had the tasting menu), but the service was just so appalling that I had to downgrade my review to 2.5 stars!... More

Treated ourselves to dinner bed and breakfast, and we were not disappointed. The hotel was splendid, the food our of this world, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Not cheap but well worth it for the overall experience - if you can, you should.

Firstly I booked months in advance for a party of 8 to celebrate my mums 89th birthday. I emailed the week before to which I had no response so we called to confirm, plus I called on the day to enquire about a child's meal and mentioned we would most likely all have the tasting menu....we arrived just about 10... We booked the Kinloch Lodge for my mother's 60th birthday, and it was an absolute treat. The entire staff was very professional but friendly and welcoming. We were offered to sit by the chimney fire for a complimentary drink, and could later take our time to enjoy a fantastic 7-course dinner in a very quiet but beautiful dining room. It... More

From the moment I turned down the road the hotel is welcoming. The staff were warm and friendly, all of them. Lunch was an experience to behold, every single element was perfection itself. I really enjoyed my lunch. A big thank you to everyone for making it so wonderful.

When I decide to eat in a 1 Michelin star restaurant my expectations are, as have to be, very high. I do no want only to eat well, as i do in many other non starred restaurant, but to enjoy a food experience. In the Kinloch I did not have such experience at all and moreover i did not like... More

This was our first Michelin dining experience, and we realise that it isn't just about food. The service, presentation, combinations of ingredients resulted in food that was sublime. We had the tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed every single mouthful. Marcello is a genius in the kitchen. I can't describe how good the food was with words, so I'm not even... More
