Astonishing. Simply astonishing. Take the 45 second ferry ride from Mull to the tiny island of Ulva and visit The Boathouse. No need to book. You will never have such fresh, delicious and great value seafood in your life again. Lobster, crab, squat lobster, smoked salmon, langoustines, potted crab....... each one utterly incredible. This is the best seafood meal I... More

We arrived on Ulva today and enjoyed our seafood platter while enjoying the view of the habour. The food was delicious and very fresh together with a large pot of tea for two. We would recommend visiting the Boat House for a meal if visiting Ulva.

Had plenty of local produce, and freshly baked cakes. Although on the pricey side, the cakes were delicious and after a 5 mile walk the beer was wonderfully cold.

Had a great lunchtime meal of half lobster each, tasted beautiful, far better than what we had in a restaurant in Tobermory and less than half the price - fresh & fab. Nicely presented and staff real friendly. We had a fun day out on Ulva, loved the ferry (the captain of the ship is a great chap) and the... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful so after a great walk on part of the Island we enjoyed our stop at The Boathouse very... More

We visited Isle of Ulva on a fabulous sunny day in a May. After a lovely walk we were ready for a late lunch. My husband had the crab pot which came with salad and home made bread, I had parsnip soup and a smoked salmon roll. We both enjoyed our meals and thought the service and location of the... More

A highlight of our recent week on Mull was a trip to the Boathouse restaurant on Ulva. We had read the reviews and all I can say is that the experience lived up to all of them. Seven of us took the boat over and all enjoyed a terrrific lunch. Home baked bread and wholesome food pleased all our party.... More
