Sunday night carvery wasn't up to much. Beef was tough (when we mentioned this to the staff we were told,"that's how some people like it"), chicken dry but the ham was nice. A disappointing selection of veg on offer and they ran out of roast potatoes. Pretty much sums it up! Decor is a bit tired and doesn't feel the... More

Visited on 26.08.14. Served a frozen rack of ribs. Offered desserts and coffees to compensate but declined after which the price of the meal was refunded but with very little apology. Totally abysmall and will definitely not return.

Stopped in at this restaurant as had a 2 for 1 voucher from local paper. The place itself his a bit hidden away and very dark decor inside but food was well served pub grub, 2 chicken main dishes and unlimited drinks for all for under £14 was I think good value. Without the voucher the two meals for £10... More

Before I begin may I just state, I would never have of entered the building, had my mother not of been so insistent we went. The presence of the building was basic, but appealing, within the building was like a pig sty: the remains of pizza adorned the ground; we were seated, next to the lavatories, and every time the... Food is ok for the price and the buffet nights are good value. The best night to go is probably a Friday for Chip Shop. The Soft Play is good and keeps the kids happy. One piece of Feedback would be to get new bibs as the ones used are all ripped and looking past their best. If you do... More

We can always count on the Monkton, superb service once again, all the staff so friendly, meals are served promptly, prices are great, play areas and toilets immaculate, plenty of seating, tables cleared as soon as people leave them and food always excellent.

We dined at Brewers' Fayre, Monkton Lodge, after attending a superb Organ Recital in Ayr Town Hall. The food was cooked perfectly and staff were most pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was clean and tidy and even the canned music wasn't as obtrusive as is the case in many other places. If our experience is trypical, then I would not... More

Had a large family meal with 8 adults and 4 kids. I require food to be gluten free so placed my order with a baked potato to accompany smothered chicken and stated my gluten free requirement. My dinner arrived with chips so when we asked for chips to be changed we had to wait nearly 15 mins for it to... More
