Lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The poppadoms and chutney on arrival were a nice touch, meal was served quickly and the staff were efficient and helpful

Visited the Taj on Saturday night with a group of friends, from the moment you step foot in the restaurant you feel like one of the family. The staff as always provided a first class service, the drinks arrived quickly and the food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. It was a first visit for one of our party who... More

Not bad, not amazingly good either. The service and staff are very friendly though. A bit too noisy for my opinion but we've been there on a Saturday evening when all the locals are having there night out with friends and family.

Starters were great - really tasty and well cooked. Had to send one meal back as we asked for madras heat and it wasn't even vaguely spicy. Awesome naan bread. 2 extra drinks on the bill which were removed quickly but it leaves you wondering .....

I went here with some seasoned Taj lovers. Welcome was really nice and friendly. It was busy which is a good sign. The food comes in some good portions and is very nice. I was a bit awkward and was looking for a spicy mince curry. Nothing was too much trouble , then had the option of lamb or chicken... More

I recently visited the Taj for dinner after a friend recommended it to me and I can safely say that I was not disappointed. As soon as you walk in you are pleasantly welcomed by the staff. As it was our first time visiting the restaurant, the manager took our order and recommended dishes to suit our taste and we... More

I went for a takeaway last night, and have been going to the Taj less frequently over the years To the point, Nan bread unedable dough (usually very good), chicken celonese was just plain but nice chicken with just a sauce poured over it (Homepride or Pataks would have been better), the chicken pakora was about half mushroom, pillar rice... We had a similar experience a month ago but decided that the food was so good we would go back and give them another chance. The welcome was not overly friendly and when we asked for the teatime special menu, perhaps if the sigh had not been so audible it would have helped. When it came to ordering food she... More

Enjoyed our visit very much. Great menu. We loved the spiced onions that came out to start, very very good! The peshwari naan was one of the best I have ever tasted, it was delicious. Great service and very good food, no complaints from our group.

I have been to Indian restaurants before but this one is very good. There is a very good choice of appetisers and the specialty dishes are well presented on the menu. The salmon tikka is lovely. I got the South Indian garlic chilli chicken and my wife got the butter chicken which was lovely. Don't walked passed this restaurant.
