Delightful, delicious, and excellent service

My partner and I went here for his birthday when we visited Ayr on November 12, 2015. I can't say enough about the kindness, hospitality, and GREAT food! I had contacted then to make a birthday cake for us, and it was incredible. I ordered a fish dish with tomatoes, and it was superb. This is a... read more

I absolutely love this restaurant the food is the best in town. Whatever you choose it is always delicious and not too expensive either. Staff are very polite and helpful, a good night was had by all. You can also pop in for coffee or lunch too which is lovely.

Had a beautiful lunch with all the family to celebrate our ruby wedding. The food & service couldn't be faulted. There is an extensive menu to choose from. My wife can't eat certain foods but the young waitress was very knowledgeable & was able to advise her. The family had even arranged for the chef to make us a cake.... More

Not particularly memorable. Food was ok but nothing special. Steak pie was a bit chewy. The table already had something lodged under a leg to stabilise it but we had to adjust it more. The corners of the table looked as if someone had chewed on them. Felt that the waiters were not on the ball - not paying attention... More

Went here today for a breakfast snack before going to the cinema. Checked on the website which said open from 9.30 till late. Arrived at 10.40 and told they didn't start serving till 11am. Disappointed we decided to go elsewhere but said we would be returning later for food after the film. We were told they stopped serving at 2.30.... More

In our opinion, the best restaurant in the town. We have been regularly for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Food of the highest quality, great service, Peroni on tap, and a lovely atmosphere.

Having found on Trip Advisor we popped in to see if they had a spare table. Fortunately they did. Lovely staff in a quirky wee restaurant. My husband and I had the salmon special and it was delicious. Really good value. Would highly recommend and go again.

Booked a table for my daughter and myself on a Wednesday night for dinner before going to the theatre and I'm glad we booked because it was mobbed. The restaurant had a really lovely atmosphere. The meal we had was fantastic the haggis & black pudding starter was the best I have tasted in a long time. I thought it... More

The wife and I attended on a Thursday night and both enjoyed it. The food is a cut above the average fare served in Ayr, (which is pretty decent in general, although there are many places with roughly the same menu). Starter fish cake and leek was nice but the sticky Mexican chicken was nothing to write home about. (I... More
