We visited Saffys on Friday 15th August with friends. Plenty of options from both the usual menu and the specials. The food and service was excellent and the resteraunt itself has a good warming atmosphere aided by all staff.

Four of us are traveling Scotland on a golf trip and we really enjoyed our dinner. The service was excellent and we all had something different and each was nicely prepared. The restaurant is very small so I would suggest reservations. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it was extremely hot in the... More

Have dined here several times in the last couple of years always very impressed with the food, but today opted for the fish and chips and was disappointed that the chips were of the nasty frozen variety you'd expect in a school cafeteria, the fish was prepared to the usual high standard expected here but the nasty fries let the... The whole experience was phenomenal. From the stylish décor, to the friendly waiting staff and the delicious food. Within their first taste of their meal everyone at the table was expressing their delight. The food was flavoursome and filling, well presented and we all agreed that it was one of the best meals we have ever had. It was great... More

Staying at the mercure hotel for a few days popped in to saffys. Been before and the food is outstanding. This time it was even better and the service was brisk. Glad we booked as it was busy. The fish is to die for. Cant fault this family restaurant, , fresh food always.

I was taken by a friend and had no idea where I was going. Imagined the worst because Ayr is very hit and miss as far as I'm concerned. So it was a very pleasant surprise to receive such a well-cooked tasty lunch. I was extremely impressed and will definitely be back soon. Friendly service too. Everything was fab.

Saffy's vegetarian menu continues to rock my boat . They've set the bar high when it comes to serving customers of the meatless persuasion - customers that they clearly value! I can't thank them enough for having gone to the bother of producing an imaginative vegetarian menu in addition to the regular excellent menu. I regularly recommend the place. A... More

The restaurant stayed open late to accommodate a group of us who arrived late. The food was absolutely excellent - in fact, we ate there a second time during our 4 day stay.

Recommended by local B&B in which we were staying. Best meal we had during our 4 days stay in Ayr. I had the lamb tagine and my wife the jambalaya - both excellent, the blend of flavours was amazing. We asked that our compliments be passed the chef ..without question he/she knows what food is about. Nice ambiance and excellent... More
