My boyfriend and I visited here as it's not far from his house, he had been over 4 years ago and I had never been. I had the chicken tempura which was really good! And then the haddock battered which was the biggest haddock we had ever seen! Honestly was Atleast 2 inches off the plate either side and the... More

Went out one saturday to try this restaurant owing to reviews i had read on trip advisor. Booked for 5.30pm and restaurant was really really busy owing to a large party that was there, this did not affect the service level. Our waitress was really good and attentive and could not have done more.. My husband ordered prawn tempura which... More

The food is amazing with generous "proper" portions served up. Their taste in wine complements the menu offered and the staff are very friendly, accommodating and quick to resolve any problems that might arise. My last booked table for 8 people didn't get recorded due to a new member of staff starting but when we arrived, they did everything and more... More

Starters of lentil soup and haggis balls came with 2 rolls and butter and mains of breaded haddock and homemade lasagne came... More

Having the reviews on Trip Advisor I have wanted to come here for a meal for some time and finally had the opportunity to do so. Sorry to apparently be the first person not to rave about this place. First thing I have to say is please do something about the front door. There are tables for 2 in the... More

Not enough buyer on table, drinks forgotten, Patio door left open 3 times and was freezing. Had to shut it each time. We were booked originally for 5pm but upped the nos the day before... More

We are sorry you did not enjoy your visit to the coylton arms. I feel I have to respond to your review as I strongly disagree with the points you made. Firstly when mrs ball booked the table she requested 6pm, we did not have a table at 6pm so I offered her 5pm or 7pm, I am aware that... More
