We have to disagree with the recent reviews about bad service at the Coylton Arms, our delightful waitresses were attentive and very polite. The food was good pub food and the home made lasagne was delicious! The only reason we're not giving the Coylton Excellent is the cold draft that swept through the restaurant every time the door opened.

We received a gift voucher for our Christmas and went to use it in May. However I noticed that it said expired after 3 months (a lot less than any other restaurant, which are normally a year). So, we phoned to ask if we could use it and after the waitress asked the owner/manager we were told no! I think... More

Expectations were high, and thus hard to meet. But the standard was set. The place is off the beaten path, though very well known to locals. It is busy, and without a reservation you will not get a spot (until the addition is finished). It is not a traditional pub; instead it is s modern, recently redecorated, recessed lit, leather... A bit off the main track but worth a visit. Quaint period building beside a very old church and graveyard. Lovely restaurant area, updated interior but it's still retained its old feel. Lovely menu. Excellent service and good value for money. Not too many tables either.

I hadn't been in for dinner in a while, however when I walked in the staff were very friendly and welcoming even though we were slightly late for our reservations. The restaurant was very busy with a large birthday party in yet we got our drinks and order taken very quickly. All food was fantastic as usual and of a... More

The meal at the Coylton Arms is the best meal I have had, I was there with friends and everyone enjoyed their meal, there was plenty of choice and it was presented beautifully on the plate, good portions. I would definitely recommend anyone to go.
