Lovely but pricey

Went her for lunch before seeing the Dam. All 6 of us had sandwiches from their lunch menu. They have a selection either on granary bread or ciabatta with prices between £5-8. Service was prompt with little waiting time for our food. All sandwiches came with a dressed salad which was very nice. My... read more

I visited Port na Craig with a friend from Glasgow when on a peaceful summer retreat to Pitlochry, and this meal was most definitely the highlight of our trip. The traditional tartan decor and the warm wood around the restaurant creates a homely atmosphere and was perfect location for our brunch. I chose the smoked salmon for starter which was... More

Good value and very tasty pre-theatre menu. Attentive and friendly staff. Located right next to the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, so very convenient if you are going to a show.

We actually stayed here for one evening and therefore ate at this inn over a period of time. All the meals we thoroughly enjoyed and we found it to be a real foody place. Attention to detail was 5 star and therefore we have struggled to recognise the place from some of the previous reviews. The situation is perfect on... More

My husband and I went in for lunch as we liked the look of the menu. 2 courses for £12.95, great value we thought. We both ordered the tomato soup. Oh it was so sweet, it was horrible. My husband ordered the fish goujons with hand cut chips. It was like a plate of grease! The chips were soggy and... More

Looking for dinner last night we stumbled on the Port-na-Craig. What a gem. Having managed to find us a table we were delighted by the level of service from the staff and quality of food. We ate off the pre-theatre menu which wasn't too pricey and gave a good selection to choose from. One BIG plus is there are no... More

The Port-na-Craig is a gastropub in a lovely situation, right on the bank of the river. If you can get there close to sunset, it's a very nice place to sit and have a drink. We did that, and then went inside for dinner. I ordered a cheeseburger with extra mushrooms and my partner had chicken and chorizo. The food... More
