Amazing views

Stopped in for tea and cakes, spent an hour or so just watching people fishing on the river. Amazing views, fantastic setting and great service.

We went for lunch on a warm Spring day in early April and sat outside overlooking the river. Good food, nice pint of Czech lager, good company (the wife) and just a really relaxed and mellow experience. Get the right day and I can thoroughly recommend it !

Recent reviews support our experience yesterday when we queued for ten minutes to place our order at the bar/counter/cashdesk, (yes, all three in one tiny space by the door.........first problem). We ordered venison burgers because we were in a region where good venison can be enjoyed. This time however, we had completely lost interest after thirty minutes, and with only... More

This Inn is also called The Fishermans Inn and is situated opposite the Theatre and is easily accessed by a footbridge from near the railway station, there is a peaceful riverside garden with tables and chairs where you can watch the fishermen casting their rods into the fast flowing river while you enjoy a drink or two. The bar is... More

Slightly outside the village but not a problem. Nice walk on a good day/ evening. Port-na-craig is a nice resturaunt. It was quiet when we ate but the service was good and the food was excellent. Would recommend this to anyone.

Arrived at this place after telephoning to book a table as per our it is on voucher instructions. We were shown to our table and ordered something to drink. We placed our order (pasta and a burger) and waited, and waited, and waited. We noticed a number of diners who arrived after U.S. Had ordered, were served and had left... More

We stopped here on our riverside walk, ordered a couple of glasses of wine, took up a spot in the spring sunshine, and sat watching the world go by, the fishermen on the river, and the ducks. The place was quite busy but we had no difficulty getting served, and we saw some lovely platefuls of food being trotted past... More

I was very surprised to arrive at 1.30pm during the Easter week and be told they were giving the kitchen a 10 minute break. They were not even busy! As I was being told this someone complained she had been waiting 35 minutes for her lunch, although When my food arrived it was excellent, there was not much of it.... More
