Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, average food

Cozy atmosphere with low ceilings and a rustic space, and service was friendly. The food was quite average - wish they used nice jam instead of cheap individually packaged portions, scrambled eggs were a strange congealed mass, quality of the sausage/black pudding was pretty average. Scones stood out as quite good. Prices were reasonable for the quality.

We were passing through Pitlochry on route home from The Highlands and stopped to break the journey and have a snack. We found the Cafe Biba by chance and decided to pop in. It was a rather cold, wet day and we found the Cafe cosy with its low ceiling and welcoming. It was quite busy which gave it a... More

Had an evening in Pitlochry and this place caught my eye. Went for the soup of the day, which was filling and full bodied. Had a main of wedges and home made fish cakes. Tasty, bit the wedges were a bit small and the salad was a bit basic. I would visit again. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Great to hear you found the food tasty, sorry you found the portion of wedges and salad that accompany the fishcakes a bit on the small side, - not usually a problem we encounter, and should have been sorted before dish went out. Thanks for your kind words about our staff it is very much appreciated and we hope we... More

Enjoyed an early dinner. Chilli and rice was good and decent sized portion as was the chilli pasta bake. Made a mistake in ordering the pancakes with banana/cream/ ice cream for dessert as it was too much! Only disappointment was the ice cream which was icy and bland.

Thanks for the feedback, good to know you enjoyed your visit, the pancakes are a generous portion and many people come in just for them! With regard to your comment about the ice cream we will check if it was our usual brand or a replacement as shouldn't have an icy texture. In the meantime thanks for your compliments about... More

Travelling through Pitlochry Scotlanf early evening 5th May 2015: Very cold: very tired after long drive to Granton-on-Spey - returning back to base in Sterling. Did not wish a full meal so opted for a bowl of soup & toasted ham / tomatoes sandwich with cafe latte. Travelled as far afield as Hawaii; Thailand & USA and without any doubt... More

We stopped by here for a quick lunch before leaving Pitlochry and we had the cream of vegetable soup, the brie and black pudding salad and the apple pie, all of which were very nice. Only gripe was that it can get a bit rowdy in the back conservatory area due to the poor acoustics.

We stopped in here on our way home from Nairn. We had previously visited in November 2014. Lovely friendly staff showed us to our table. Our waitress helped me choose a coffee (I am a tea drinker but needed coffee to wake me up as I was tired because of driving). Burger and the Caribbean paying ordered with a flat... More

I love the American style breakfast, bacon and pancakes with maple syrup. My wife hates them and normally opts for the Full Scottish!!

Popped into this place driving up north for some breakfast. I ordered the Scottish Breakfast. I'm always hesitant about fry ups but this was spot on! It wasn't greasy, well presented and tasted delish! Great customer service. I didn't have to wait long for tje food either. I would recommend this place and i am sure to be popping back... More
