If you want a traditional pub where the locals hang out, this is the place to go. After a wet day walking we looked forward to sitting by the warm fire (real fire), drinking a pint and listening to the conversation around us.

Went to this bar over Christmas, I feel that the spirit of Scrooge lives on after this visit. We went in for an afternoon drink. Found the staff were rude and very slow.

We were staying in Pitlochry for a few days so opted to try Moulin for lunch. This is a very nice pub/hotel. Service was very welcoming and friendly, good food and good atmosphere. Nice little hamlet to walk around in and see Covenanters graves ete.

I've visited this Inn on several occasions - the bar restaurant welcomes dogs - on leads - and we always holiday with our dogs. The food is plain but well and accurately cooked: the vegetables never overdone and always seasonal; Scottish dishes - mince and tatties, for example - are well cooked and simply presented. It's in the small but... More

We ate here on two consecutive nights. An obvious choice as we had rented a cottage 30 yards away. The food on each evening was very tasty. The place has atmosphere plus and has a nice mixture of locals and visitors. So why only three out of five score? Two items are worth noting. This is a very busy inn.... More

We stopped here after a walk up Ben Vrackie for a light lunch. After dismissing a sandwich at the cost of nearly £9 I opted for a prawn platter. My husband took the French onion soup. My platter was in fact a scoop of prawn Marie rose, one small slice of bread and a garnish. It was less than satisfying... More

Been here many times after a local walk. Food is consistently ok, if unremarkable ( decent home made pub fare - slightly above average) But the reason we keep coming back is the setting - moulin is a beautiful quaint picture postcard village, and the 17th century inn, with roaring log fire in the colder months, never fails to raise... we went in here for a drink after a long walk through the woods. we did not eat here but had a couple of pints of cask ale. They have there own micro brewery. Its a really old style pub with log fire and all. We had a very pleasant visit on our way back down to town centre

The first thing to highlight here is that the Moulin Hotel Restaurant and the Moulin Inn are not the same, albeit they are in the same overall building and it is clear that reviews for both are on this site. This review relates to the Moulin Hotel Restaurant within the main building, and not the Moulin Inn which is a... More
