The hotel is absolutely beautiful and seems very old for those of us from overseas. The barman (Brazilian born Kiwi) was very helpful and friendly. The little eating areas are fun and give a sense of privacy. On the very good side, the boutique beer was eminently quaffable. A little sweet for our tastes, but we still bought a couple... More

We visited the pub every night during our stay, and had a different meal every night; the food was well prepared and cooked well, very good choice of starters, mains and puddings - very easy to overeat! Especially enjoyed the Venison cooked in "Braveheart" the minute steak filled with Haggis was another good choice; the pub does have limited seating... More

Our B&B owners recommended here as it was dog friendly & with-in walking distance. We dined outside as it was a lovely evening. We were very kindly able to tweak the menu as D does not like prawns on her surf & turf (the only way to get a fillet steak) so I got her portion & they provided a... More

We popped in here for a late lunch and am so glad we did. The food is lovely with really good choices. To start, I had the french onion soup and my husband had the game terrine, both were tasty. I then had the mince and tatties and really enjoyed it, there was plenty of it and it was piping... More

We came here 2yrs ago and were so impressed we planned a whole day around lunch here - big let down :( The menu has not changed in all that time, confusion abound when we asked for a side order of haggis! The food was very greasy and lacked any seasoning at all. There seemed to be no local staff... More

Delightful little village pub with it's own brewery out back! We discovered it when walking to the Edradour distillery on a Saturday morning and went back round for lunch washed down with a pint of their own real ale. Excellent!

I ate in the pub restaurant (I think there may be a more formal restaurant in the adjacent hotel). It's a pretty building, in a nice village just outside Pitlochry with good views from the tables outside. The food was OK: nothing particularly special but I would say all (or mainly) home made. It was busy when we were there... More

We went here twice, as we had loved everything about it the 1st time. Excellent food and service, nice staff and good prices. Muriel Monteith,

Following the recommendation of the host from a local B&B we walked the 3/4 mile or so with our 2 labradoodle dogs. We were told that if it was busy then wait as there is normally a quick turn around of customers. It was full when we went in so we waited at outside tables. We could of eaten outside... More

After hearing so much about this place and having tried unsuccessfully on previous occasions to get in, we managed to get a table. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Yes, it has history, but so do plenty of other pubs and restaurants in Scotland. The Moulin is an average pub with an average pub menu serving average... More
