Description: Perths 63 Tay Street is regularly billed as one of Scotlands top restaurants. Set in a typical imposing grey stone building, the small but perfectly formed dining room is pure elegance from soaring ceilings to polished wood floors. The menu is made up of British classics given a contemporary twist, so youll find your Aberdeen Angus served with an oxtail sauce and your Inverurie lamb rack, neck and shank may be served with traditional neeps, but youll also find chorizo mash on your plate. The use of fresh, local ingredients and fine produce sourced from further afield means that every dish promises to delight those tastebuds.

2010: 5 2014: 3. Visited there a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, quality food and service, so naturally wished to return. What a change. The food was as good, I think, but the front of house has sunk to a level that is not what one is paying for. Before it was crisp, professional and efficient; now, just... More

Party of four dinned here on Friday 13th unlucky for some. Not for us. The food was fantastic to say the least. We decided to go for the tasting menu which was beautifully matched with wine for each course. Definitely best in Perth. Well worth a visit.

We went to their 1st wednesday in the month slow cook menu and found it excellent value.Starter was Strawberry Gazpacho followed by haddock tartlet followed by mussel chowder with pork loin and with a large portion of cheesecake to finish £27.50 each and £4.50 for a glass of wine. They also had a wine to accompany each course, but we did... More

I don't expect much of Scottish restaurants (I grew up there, long before Scottish cuisine had been invented), and wasn't too surprised to get some pretty ordinary food, with the added touch of a slice of black pudding with everything (even quail), which is presumably the badge of Scottish cuisine. Some very ordinary amuse-bouches were served, which quite frankly should... More

63 Tay Street is a Fine Dining restaurant with a seasonal menu that delivers on both quality and flavour.I would recommend this restaurant for both "foodies" and people who are celebrating a special occassion. Very nice experience.

It's a long time since we enjoyed a meal as much as that we had here. From the moment we arrived until we departed the service was excellent. Great food from a varied menu with something to suit everyone. This is one place you won't mind paying that little bit extra.

From the friendly welcome at the front door to saying cheerio to the chef, this night will stand out as one of the best! We were there to celebrate my parents 55th wedding anniversary and my Mum's 75th birthday and I could not have asked for better food, wine or service. Perfect! Special thanks to Valentina and Ralph.
