Description: Perths 63 Tay Street is regularly billed as one of Scotlands top restaurants. Set in a typical imposing grey stone building, the small but perfectly formed dining room is pure elegance from soaring ceilings to polished wood floors. The menu is made up of British classics given a contemporary twist, so youll find your Aberdeen Angus served with an oxtail sauce and your Inverurie lamb rack, neck and shank may be served with traditional neeps, but youll also find chorizo mash on your plate. The use of fresh, local ingredients and fine produce sourced from further afield means that every dish promises to delight those tastebuds.

A great meal in Perth at 63 Tay Street. Very sophisticated and refined. By the time we reached Perth, we had spent 6 nights in Edinburgh, at the Festivals and then, 7 nights on the road in the highlands, on the Isle of Skye and near Loch Lomond. Our dinner at 63 Tay Street was one of the best meals... More

Ate here with my husband using an Itison voucher for a five course tasting menu. Both enjoyed almost every mouthful - amuse bouche we were not keen on but this is just personal taste and it is such a small mouthful it didn't really matter. Soup was delicious as was the venison slice Ribeye steaks were excellent and we had... More

En-route to Blairgowrie stopped off for lunch. Restaurant wasn't too busy just as we'd hoped. Staff/service just right; very attentive without being annoying. Nice pleasent atmosphere as well. As for the food....at first glance the menu didn't look particularly inspired, however, like everything else about 63 Tay Street, it was, as we were about to discover, subtly understated. All dishes... More

We ate dinner at 63 Tay Street on Saturday 23rd. This was our first visit and we went with high expectations, however our expectations were exceeded thanks to the beautiful food and great, friendly service. This was one of the very best restaurant meals I have had, and certainly the best since Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir, and I would highly... More

We were looking forward to our meal here, comprising the Saturday night tasting menu at £42 for 5 courses. It is a small simply decorated restaurant overlooking the Tay, and was quite busy but not full. We chose the gravadlax starter, which was tasty if quite a small portion. The cauliflower soup was tasty but served in a tiny cup.... More

We booked this restaurant to celebrate our son's engagement and we were not disappointed; this is the best restaurant in Perth without a doubt, second only, in our opinion to Andrew Fairlie's restaurant in Gleneagles. If you would like your taste buds to be titillated, this is the place to go, from the tasters to the main meal. Our future... More

I visited on Saturday (16th) and was blown away start to finish with the quality of this food. You can tell the chefs have a love for what they do because every dish was mind blowing with textures tastes and skill. We arrived and were made to feel welcome straight away there was a guitarist playing in the background (was... More

This is one excellent restaurant, expensive but worth every penny. The staff went about their job effectively and with a touch of friendliness. The food was just great. I had the pigeon starter then the ribeye steak, both were just perfect. The cheeseboard was good but could have had more biscuits, maybe just me! The red wine suggested was expensive... More

Terrific little place offering well-cooked high end food in an intimate but relaxed setting. Other than one (quickly rectified) misdemeanour when the g&t's were brought with slimline tonic, the service was excellent. The evening menu is a very reasonably priced £42 for 3 courses plus amuse bouche and a lovely tomato & strawberry gazpacho. 5 or 6 choices for the... More

I chose this restaurant to share my 40th birthday with my family. The restaurant were really helpful with any request I had leading up to the lunch and were very attentive during service too. The food was fantastic in such a beautiful setting. The restaurant went to great length to ensure my 40th was very memorable!
