First visit to this restaurant and to try Thai food. A very pleasant host and attentive staff, and plenty of choice on the menu, but got a little worried when diners nearby where concerned about how spicy their meals were, and they were coughing and spluttering. My starter of crab and prawn done in pastry was tasteless had it not... More

We had eaten at this restaurant a few years ago and decided to try it again. The food is just as good as before. We started with King prawn satay and filo wrapped king prawns. Both were amazing, especially the satay sauce, which was as good as I've tasted. We followed with mied seafood cooked in chilli and mixed pad... More

A jewel on this high street. The Tom Yum soup was superb with a real depth of flavour. I had the butterflied crispy trout with Thai red curry and it was delicious, the sticky rice was the best I have had in a long time. Thoroughly recommend!

I am a fan of thai food and so far their food is the best in scotland. How i wish Glasgow has one branch. A must try!

We were greeted by a very friendly host with a good sense of humour. The food was very tasty (I recommend "The Banguet for Two" which was modified to match our preferences). We were treated like we were old, valued, long standing customers ...rather than one off visitors to the Town.

Something different on a very busy street in Perth, you can park at the back so it's convenient if you need to be close by. They do a banquet for two persons at a reasonable price that's what we had washed down with a couple of tiger beers, roar.

Having a family day out in Perth, we found ourselves once again at the Mae-Ping for lunch. Wonderful lunch menu with a host of tempting dishes, The Corn Fritters were delicious, in fact all the starters were fantastic, the problem was selecting which one to have. Similarly with the main dishes, plenty to select from and we shared four between... More

We were a little surprised to be the only two diners in the place, and even more surprised after we had tasted the food. The owner is a really nice guy, very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Obviously he was able to spend a lot of time with his customers that night, as we were the only ones in the restaurant, but... More

Hadn't been here for years so tried it for a random Saturday night treat. Went for the 'banquet' - three taster courses plus coffee - and very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Banquet is basically a platter of mixed starters, three main courses (two meats and a fish) and accompaniments - everything cooked really well and could... More

Visited the Mae Ping at the start of March, after reading about it in a review for the New County Hotel that we stayed at just up the road. Glad we booked for the Saturday night as it was busy, but we were not disappointed. Owner was a lovely guy, who had a great manner with the diners. He spent... More
