Often have a coffee here which is always very good. Decided to have lunch recently which was excellent. Beautifully freshly cooked trout with very good sauce and vegetables. Shared a cheese board to finish -very interesting selection of cheese. Will definitely return and recommend. Staff always attentive friendly and helpful.

We visited around 7.30pm on aSunday night and when we arrived there were a few other tables in. We ordered Chateaubriand and by the time the food arrived the other tables had left. We also got our bread at the same time as our meal. I honestly don't know how they did it but the steak tasted of nothing and... More

Ate here with the inlaws last saturday, 17jan, had the lunchtime menu. My father in law said it was the best food hed ever tasted. Im a veggie, and my starter and dessert were tremendous, lemon tart with raspberry foam. My main course of beatroot and goats cheese tart was good, but not on the same level as my other... More

I have eaten in Cafe Tabou on many occasions now and have had such unfailingly-good meals there that I thought it was about time that I record my satisfaction in a review. Usually it's just my wife and myself that go - they have a tasty pre-theatre menu at a reasonable price and the restaurant is always buzzing. On this... More

A French bistro with a cosmopolitan staff: the owners are Polish, waiting staff French, Bulgarian, Polish etc .The place runs like a Swiss watch! We went before Christmas , it was packed yet calm reigned. Today I met three of my friends and the lady waitress did not have an easy job to get an order:post Christmas restraint meant menus... My husband and I went to this restaurant a couple of years ago and decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal out just before Christmas. On arrival we were shown our table which was decorated lovely and had Christmas Crackers on the table. We were offered a drink while we were perusing the menus. I have to say the... More

Had lunch here in December with work colleagues. Excellent ambience in a French atmosphere, service first class, food cooked to perfection and very tasty. Great selection on menu and fairly priced. Wines good too! I'll be back.

Great service, outstanding food and brilliant atmosphere. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Perth that consistently delivers. Highly recommended.

I have been a few times and whilst I am not a big fan of French food, they always accommodate me. My partner loves it here and his problem is he could eat everything on the menu. A really nice restaurant in Perth.

My first visit to this restaurant despite living locally. I had a starter of smoked haddock tart that had equal quantities of falling apart crumbly pastry to filling and little evidence of haddock, disappointing. This followed by crab stuffed sole which was ok but the fried potato cake served with it was awful, inedible in my case. The other party... More
