Popped in for a spot of lunch and got a warm welcome from the staff - always a good sign. The ambience in the restaurant was just what we had hoped for in a café/bistro - informal and relaxing. The menu was typically French and the choice was such that we had difficulty in deciding what to select. Decision made... More

I enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant which is in the heart of Perth, near the famous McEwans store. The food is expensive, however, and I struggled to find something healthy and vegetarian. In the end, and mostly to keep the costs down, one of us had the vegetable quiche of the day, which was delicious, two had the croque... More

Popped in for a business lunch on Wednesday with no reservation. The restaurant was busy but luckily there was space outside and the weather was pleasant enough. Super 3 course lunch for about £17, each course well presented and very enjoyable. I have a dinner reservation in a couple of weeks and hope to be equally impressed.

Beautifully prepared dishes. Had baked cheese with toast and cold meat platter. So much we were unable to finish it. Really tasty, totally authentic and great value for money.

In a great central location Café Tabou feels, and tastes, like a genuine French restaurant. Even the haggis on the special board had been given a French "makeover". We ordered from the "pre-theatre" menu and the food was tasty, well presented and good value. Our waiter, originally from Poland, was exceptionally friendly and efficient. The only negative was that the... More

Was in the centre of Perth with our 2 dogs on Saturday just before lunch. Took advantage of the outside seating so we could eat with our dogs. It was a bit early for the lunch menu but had a real good snack of croque-monsieur with French fries and good coffee. Staff were really helpful and even used some plastic... More

Across the Kirk found a row of restaurants with Cafe Tabou on the corner. Sat outside for great coffee and very nice crepes for a late morning break after walking the gardens. Good service, nice music, clean loos what more could you want? All the food served to those around us who were having lunch looked lovely!

Had an early lunch on Saturday which made the restaurant quieter than usual and were given a choice of tables which is unusual and appreciated. We were eating out that night so opted for half a kilo of modules mariniere each. Added a portion of French fries which made an ideal lunch. Food is lovely, atmosphere Gallic and a great... More
