Tim & Anna Dover work together at the restaurant, Anna is in charge of table service and Tim exercises his skills as Head Chef in the kitchen, and in his words..."My wife and I opened the Roost Restaurant in the village of Kintillo near Bridge of Earn, just outside Perth, in the summer of 2008. Five years on the restaurant is firmly established in the area and we are known for our extensive use of Scottish ingredients, which I prepare in the classical French style that I have learnt in kitchens at home and abroad throughout my career. We are proud of the strong relationships we have developed with Scottish food and drink suppliers and always produce a locally sourced, sustainable and seasonal menu. Our dedication doesn't end in the kitchen as we enjoy fishing and foraging for our own ingredients - including wild garlic, alexanders and chanterelles - many of which appear on the menus throughout the year. But nothing is more sustainable than our new kitchen garden that features vegetables and herbs used in the restaurant. Throughout the summer months we are able to use our own supply of herbs, salads and vegetables such as potatoes, chard, baby carrots, beetroots, leeks, broad beans and purple sprouting broccoli while flowers are also grown for the restaurant."

Heard about it from friends and we won a Voucher for £20 at a local open day. The Roost is quite small, service reasonable but the food was almost cold. Quality of the meal was ok but nothing to get excited about. We wouldn't go there again.

What a find.....great atmosphere, great service and fabulous food. Spent three hours in this lovely restaurant and couldn't fault the food, the staff or the restful and pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

This is a great restaurant. The menu was really interesting and different. We came with friends on a Thursday lunchtime and all the tables were full. The food looked wonderful and tasted as good as it looked. The service was excellent and as there was only one sitting we were able to enjoy a lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

Only about 20 covers in this wee place tucked into the west side of Bridge of Earn, but well patronised. A light, airy room is well decorated and nice white linens give the place a sharp look. The menu offers choices for vegetarians and the variety available was encouraging. My wife thought the gnocchi was slightly stodgy and, despite it... More

Visiting friends in Perth yesterday and based on reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to try The Roost Restaurant. It was easy to find as it is signposted on the way in to Bridge of Earn. Limited parking outside but easy to find on road parking close by. The restaurant is not big so would recommend booking ahead. Lovely cottage... More

Having visited many times over the last seven years, the Roost is one of our favourite places to eat. We have been privileged to experience the Roost as Anna and Tim have developed their own style over their time there. Food and service never disappoint with last night being no exception. This was a new experience for us there as Lomond... More
