Outstanding in every way

Absolutely outstanding food, lovely service, polite, friendly, helpful but gave us time to talk and enjoy meal also. One of the best meals I have ever had, absolutely everything was to complete perfection- the vegetarian gnocchi in particular was ridiculously good. I could not have enjoyed more.

Our experience at the Roost was superb. The service was excellent and the meal was impeccable, it's obvious attention to detail is very important to them as this shows in the array of delicious flavours, colours and textures which made for a mouthwatering delight. Dietary requirements were easily catered for and the pleasant ambience made a special occasion more memorable.... More

Heard about it from friends and we won a Voucher for £20 at a local open day. The Roost is quite small, service reasonable but the food was almost cold. Quality of the meal was ok but nothing to get excited about. We wouldn't go there again.

Quite simply excellent. Friendly and very competent and efficient staff; top quality ingredients, superb cooking and proper presentation. White table linen and real plates; none of this trendy slates business. We went on a quiet Wednesday, and the background music was just audible - perfect. Not at all intrusive, and not heard above conversation. Fish and cheese soufflé both cooked... More

This is a great restaurant. The menu was really interesting and different. We came with friends on a Thursday lunchtime and all the tables were full. The food looked wonderful and tasted as good as it looked. The service was excellent and as there was only one sitting we were able to enjoy a lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

Only about 20 covers in this wee place tucked into the west side of Bridge of Earn, but well patronised. A light, airy room is well decorated and nice white linens give the place a sharp look. The menu offers choices for vegetarians and the variety available was encouraging. My wife thought the gnocchi was slightly stodgy and, despite it... More

Visiting friends in Perth yesterday and based on reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to try The Roost Restaurant. It was easy to find as it is signposted on the way in to Bridge of Earn. Limited parking outside but easy to find on road parking close by. The restaurant is not big so would recommend booking ahead. Lovely cottage... More
