A n classy but relaxed atmosphere awaits you when you enter, and the cocktail selections are cracking! The food selection is always varied and staff are varied and courteous. A great place to eat, drink and relax!

Stopped by here a couple Tuesdays back, fantastically setup and designed bistro that is lost on the people of a place such as Elgin, more a central city Decor for the real restaurant people of this world. Both me and my companion had the chowder to start. Prompt and definitely up with one of the best I have had, no... More

My wife and i decided to chance upon the mezzo last saturday. Alot of mixed reviews but our friends told us to make up our own minds. To me it seemd a busy saturday but a good atmosphere in the place. Waiting staff where obviously under some pressure so a delay in service was accepted. I orderd mussels and my... More

I have stayed in The Mansefield Hotel in Elgin on business on many occasions, it is always my first choice hotel not only for the luxury but for the amazing food served next door at the restaurant, I have entertained clients and colleagues many times which has always been an excellent eating experience. So what went wrong, the two clowns... More

Service always used to feel a little like they were doing us a favour but the range on the menu was good and more supper than big meal, which I prefer. I haven't been for a while and had heard that things had changed so three of us gave it a go. Perhaps the strong garlic odour as we walked... More

I have always liked the Mezzo although my wife has never been impressed. After our last visit I now agree with my wife. Not only did they get our reservation wrong but additional drinks were slow in coming and the final bill was wrong with drinks added that we did not have. Service initially was good but deteriorated with our... More

I visited Mezzo with my husband on the 11th October for a meal out and were very disappointed with our experience ! We had booked a table and upon arriving , our drink order was taken and we were shown to our table ! It took another ten mins for drink order to be delivered as despite there being four... More

Looks can be deceptive and the Mezzo was! There was a wedding on and the staff were tired and not always available to serve / get another drink so service was slow. Presentation was good throughout the meal but there were a few issues like to haggis balls which were deep fried and tasted / smelt of fish from the... More
