Try the fish and chips, they were recommended fish is lovely nicest I have tasted. Salad is great too. I could go on, they have a large choice of two meals for £10.00 . Staff are very nice and the surroundings are nice good parking. They also have a play area for children, with some toys.

I'm glad that I didn't check tripadvisor before we dropped in for lunch today as I found it to be fine. We didn't think the outside looked too auspicious - it could really do with a tidy-up and maybe a few hang baskets of flowers to make it a bit more appealing but we wanted to sit outside in the... Visited again swore I wouldn't but because its close to my home decided to give it its third or fourth try on Sunday . Disappointed again . Bland food, poorly cooked taking ages to be served. Wasn't even busy . Waited over 45 minutes for a bowl of custard and some chocolate cake for the 2 kids. Maybe I will... More

Went with my husband and daughter for Father's Day with our friends and their daughter reserved a table a week before arrived and they didn't have our booking but not to worry they weren't busy so we got a table I should have realised then and left...... Ordered nacho Mexican to start as a sharing plate for two after 45... More

I think the quality of the Justinlees depends entirely on which chef is on shift that night. We have had good food here on occasion, but mostly it is a good honest 2/5. The only reason we return is its proximity to our house! The beers are equally changeable. They have kept and served a good pint of ale, but... More

We went as a family, with two kids under 5. On plus side they have a kids play area... this was the only plus side. As entering the restaurant we could overhear another family complaining of having to wait ages (we should have realised then- and should have left) and the place was pretty empty. The food was awful, all... More

Unfortunately, this is going to be painful reading for someone but it is an honest opinion. The place was cold & not comfortable at all, it just didn't feel right (perhaps it was the brightly arcade style prize grabber machine in the middle of the pub) My wife ordered the steak pie, I ordered sausage & mash. When they arrived,... More

We were passing through the area and came across The Justinlees. Being hungery we stopped for something to eat and I'm very glad we did. Food was LOVELY. My wife and I both got steak, £10.50 for one or two for £10!! How that works I don't know but lovely they were. All the food was well cooked, well presented... More

Family was off for new Year but I stayed to look after my guesthouse nearby,,,decided to be lazy, Soup came quickly and was superb, Fish was spot on and vegetables cooked just right and served promptly after soup, despite fact it was busy. 80 shilling ale just right. Party atmosphere . Then went home ( 150 yards) and saw the... More
