Recently stopped here for a bite to eat as it seemed the only decent place around for miles! When we first entered I wasn't expecting much, seemed like a service station type of place so thought it would be nothing special. However when the food arrived I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. I had a calzone pizza and... More

Not a huge choice on the menu. Didn't want a big beef burger so thought the chicken burger might be nice. £7.25 for a Birds Eye crispy chicken portion in a toasted bap. Chip shop chips and a teeny salad on the side. In comparison The Handmade Burger Co. will serve you a huge portion of real chicken with loads... More

Surprised when we entered.... Decor is very much cafe style, bright tiled floor, with an air of breakfast rather than dinner. Very similar menu to the old Rico's, which was one of our reasons for visiting. Unfortunately the food was bland. Pizza was poor and pretty tasteless, risotto was similarly bland. Service was good, quick & efficient however wouldn't rush... More

Stopped here for breakfast. It was ok, but the place is a little bare and bland. Nice staff, and the breakfast was nice enough, but I think it could do with a bit more character. But no complaints really.

The fish is always fresh and the chips are crisp on the outside and floury in the middle. Well done, Café Bongio. There is an adequate variety of snacks and menu options.

Just on the way to see family of a friend in Millport. Situated next to small sainsburys. We stopped by for a spot of lunch. It has a tearoom kind of feel and when presented with the menus, I was surprised at the extensive choice. I had a beautifully homemade pizza with spicy chicken, pepperoni and chilli oil! So flavoursome!... More

Liked the ambiance - open, airy feel of the place & clean toilets. Good selection of loose leaf & herbal teas. The outdoor seating has flowers around it & there is plenty of parking separate from the Local Sainsburys.

We visited this place for dinner a few nights ago and had a lovely meal! Lasagne is the best I've tasted & you can have 'chippy chips' from their takeaway next door with your food if you prefer them to skinny fries! The reason I've left a review mainly though is the service! The waitress from Colorado could not have... More

been to this place before and enjoyed it so though we could try again. Left largs early to arrive at this place around 7.55 was told that they stopped serving in the cafe at 8 so couldnt seat us, even though there were people still eating in the restaurant. Still not a huge problem it was a lovely night there... More

Fantastic chips and great service, also has a great sit in restaurant where the staff can't be any more helpful. A real assett to the village.
