Popped in here on the spur of the moment and as if it was meant to be. First impression was a bog standard café that has seen better days but immediately was welcomed by staff and customers of all ages. Had a great bowl of Cullen Skink which was large by comparison to most and served with ciabatta and butter.... More

We have walked the dog on Nairn beaches many times but don't often end up at the harbour. But on a sunny September morning and in need of a coffee we stumbled across this place. I had a breakfast which was very tasty. Sauces, jam, marmalade, all brought to the table without having to ask - the way it should... More

If you want good cafe food in a pleasant location then look no further than Basil Harbour Cafe. The menu varies and the specials are great too. If you like chips then these are simply the best. Food is fresh prepared and good value for money.

Ordered a takeaway to sit on the tin seats outside the cafe. Was Rudely told 'you asked for a takeaway these seats are for paying cafe customers so you'll need to move' we were made to feel embarrassed in front of the other customers. The Owner of the business should be ashamed of his customer service skills as he handled... More

What a delicious surprise! Traditional Scottish soup with fresh hot bread. Quaint water front local restaurant, almost a hole in the wall. The food was faultless. Staff was more than friendly and all other clients were locals. Our favorite way to dine.

We had the best food at this cafe out of all restaurant and cafe stops we had during the whole week in Scotland. Very tasty soup and fishcakes :) Definitely recommended.

Stopped off for lunch. Had lovely homemade lentil soup and cappuccino, my friend had big fat juicy burger and hand cut chips. Good food, good prices and excellent service. Thank you

We had dinner here on their Tapas night. Have stopped in here before for 'coffee and cake' but had heard so many great things about the Tapas that we had to give it ago. It's bring your own bottle and the food and service is great... Give it a go! We'll be back soon.

We visited the Basil harbour cafe today and were seriously impressed. A small, friendly cafe in a lovely relaxing setting overlooking the harbour. It was difficult for me to make my mind up to choose what to eat, the main menu is good but the specials board offered mouth watering selections. I opted for the chorizo, fried new potatoes (in...
