Tasty Breakfast

Lovely small cafe. We were in for breakfast, we both went for the big breakfast and it was great. The service was quick we didnt wait long for our food to come either. Dogs are allowed in and love the fact that i will be able to take her in, in the future. Certainly worth a visit.

I looked up places in Nairn that may let us take our small dog with us for a bite to eat and this was the pick of the bunch. Basil cafe well exceeded my expectations, very fresh food and atmosphere. We had soup and sandwiches with our grandparents and the pup sat under the table quietly. The service was quick,... More

Called in here after a lovely long walk along Nairns beaches with our two dogs. The cafe was very busy so we sat outside overlooking the harbour.Although it was the end of December the weather was really good with plenty of winter sunshine and an unusual warmish breeze. The service from the cafe was very friendly and efficient, the food was of excellent... Thoroughly enjoyed the American breakfast especially the lovely fruit which was good quality even in December. There was a slight mix up with our order at a busy time but it wasn't a problem for us. Appreciated being able to take the dog in with us which made our trip having a dog walk and a snack a great morning... More

Before me moved to Nairn we discovered Basil. The first time we were there we had Cullen Skink. Now we tend to go and have coffee, and it is a great place to visit. Highly recomended

We've just had the American Breakfast at Basil's. We thoroughly enjoyed it and wished we had room left for more lol. Couldn't fault it. Eggy bread, a mass of crispy bacon, maple syrup, blueberries, tea and coffee, great. Also it was very good value for money and you can stock up on Alan!s booklets for Christmas presents, perfect if you... More

As I live nearby I have often passed by but never eaten here before (although I've bought ice-cream on a few occasions from the counter next door). Despite its appearance from the outside of being a pretty basic "caff" I had heard comments from a number of friends locally that the food there was pretty nice, so on a shore... More

Called in for a quick lunchtime sandwich. Although the cafe was busy was busy we were asked for our order and served very quickly. The Brie and Bacon ciabatta was really well filled and extremely hot. Overall excellent service and great food. I will be back

Excellent food. Just a bit noisy from the coffee machine and no soft furnishings to soften it. Service excellent. Fast and friendly.

Visited early November with my wife for lunch, I had the famous full basil breakfast and my wife had a burger in a roll and chips. What makes the basil so good is the quality products that they use, the full breakfast is butcher products and my wife thought the burger was home made. I would like to visit the... More
