Lovely cafe and amazing Chilli Jam

Found the staff great and very friendly, the owner (chef) found time to discuss the recipe for the best ever chilli jam. It was so fresh. The menu has something different on it which makes for interesting eating. I had the halloumi burger which was great. If I am ever in Nairn again I will revisit.

Consistently good food day in, day out and the tapas nights (Friday/Saturday) are fantastic. Great service too from young staff that know what service is supposed to be like. Nothing too much bother. The only downside is getting a table at peak times.

Basil is a small friendly cafe selling great fresh food made on the premises. It can be difficult to get a seat at busy times, but this is testimony to the friendly atmosphere and good food. Have enjoyed fish and chips, omlettes and eggy bread on recent visits. They are welcoming to both small people and dogs! We live nearby... More

We were recommended to visit this cafe whilst on holiday in the area because of the excellent coffee. Whilst we were there, we decided to order food and settled on the full breakfast which included tea or coffee. I can honestly say that this is one of the best cooked breakfasts we have ever had, and believe me, my husband... More

We have been here several times when we are in the area and the staff are very friendly and the food in general is very good, except for the 'fresh crab sandwich' I see another review says the crab sandwich is tasty but it was not at all what I was expecting. It is described as a fresh crab with... More
