What a delicious surprise! Traditional Scottish soup with fresh hot bread. Quaint water front local restaurant, almost a hole in the wall. The food was faultless. Staff was more than friendly and all other clients were locals. Our favorite way to dine.

We had the best food at this cafe out of all restaurant and cafe stops we had during the whole week in Scotland. Very tasty soup and fishcakes :) Definitely recommended.

Stopped off for lunch. Had lovely homemade lentil soup and cappuccino, my friend had big fat juicy burger and hand cut chips. Good food, good prices and excellent service. Thank you

We had dinner here on their Tapas night. Have stopped in here before for 'coffee and cake' but had heard so many great things about the Tapas that we had to give it ago. It's bring your own bottle and the food and service is great... Give it a go! We'll be back soon.

We visited the Basil harbour cafe today and were seriously impressed. A small, friendly cafe in a lovely relaxing setting overlooking the harbour. It was difficult for me to make my mind up to choose what to eat, the main menu is good but the specials board offered mouth watering selections. I opted for the chorizo, fried new potatoes (in... We have been regular customers at The Basil Cafe for three or four years now and enjoy a trip out there from Inverness every couple of months . Relaxing position overlooking the harbour with seating inside and out as well as an ice cream kiosk. The cafe is very small and intimate but serves a varied range of fantastic food. This includes... Went to Basil's last night (Saturday) as it had been recommended to us. The food was great. As we were there on a Saturday night, we had food from the tapas menu. Couldn't fault any of it. We ordered 9 of the tapas dishes, all of which were fantastic. Would definately go again. Was a nice place to just sit... More
