Good food - very friendly welcome

We chose here to eat as they were happy for us to bring our dog with us - although we had to eat in the public bar not the restaurant. But this was no problem - they made us feel welcome by having our table laid out already when we arrived. Food was excellent - some interesting twists on standard... read more

On our first day in Cawdor, we booked a table for the following Monday with a lovely helpfull young lady.... More

Sorry but was disappointed but I think it was because friends said it was a must. Food was bland for our taste and needed seasoning Felt it was expensive for what we had No ambiance but maybe it was because it was at the beginning of the week and felt that light easy listening music was needed

Visited here while I was touring the Highlands. A nice place to stop for lunch and it's close to scenic beauty and historic places (the tavern is pretty historic itself!).

Went there today and had a very nice experience. The staff friendly and accommodating, however, the service from the kitchen was very slow and waited 45 minutes from order to actually eating. The menu was good but a bit pricey until got the specials board and had lovely meal. Would I eat here again? Yes but if in hurry will... More

The restaurant, was a lot busier than expected, however service was efficient and went smoothly.Despite being full we didn't feel rushed. The food was well presented and very tasty. Would definitely return.

The food took 50 minutes to arrive. The food took to long and we felt Ignord and the service was very slow. Some of the food was nice some of the food was not so nice. For example the phesent was very very tuff. The sausages and mash was a really tiny portion. Written by Skye age 9.

Thank you for your message Skye. I am really sorry you felt your wait was so long. I believe you had initially wanted salmon from the adults menu but this had run out on that occasion and so you opted for the kids sausages instead. The kids portion of sausage and mash has 2 proper Murdoch Brother butcher sausages served... More
