Friendly inn

We were salmon fishing in Scotland and found this place to eat after a wet cold day we were welcomed by very friendly staff . The food was really good and there was a large selection of beers . We went there 3 times as it was so good and were warmly welcomed each time.

Arrived 7.30pm. Greeted at the door, and shown to our table. Drinks ordered taken within minutes. Friendly staff. Starter's were lovely, main course (steak pie) was very good, chips a little crunchy for me, steak out of this world. Desserts amazing ! We where there for just over two hours, and I think the gap between each course was spot... More

Set in a lovely village it is always nice to return to the Tavern. Their lunch menus provide a range of fare but it is always worth trying their specials menu.

the Cawdor Tavern has always been a good local place to go, glasses kept in the fridge are a nice novelty. The food is consistently good and Cawdor is a really lovely village.

Nice setting. Food adequate and reasonable price with plenty choice. I had the Cullen skink and haggis pakora which was very tasty. Definitely worth a second visit.

Close to the impressive Cawdor Castle, in the tiny village of Cawdor, the Cawdor Tavern is a suitably venerable and atmospheric establishment. Lots of dark wood and dim lighting, a bar full of ales and a tasteful dining room make for a convivial lunch venue. We decided to eat our main meal of the day at lunch time and were... More
