A lovely meal

Staying at the near by Morvich caravan park we walked to this restaurant so we could both have a drink. Quite a lot of fish on the menu but there are some other choices if like me you are not a fish lover. A lovely setting, even though it is on the side of an A road but you only... read more

Stayed here last week for 3nights. Lovely en suite studio accommodation with the restaurant next door. Fabulous situation looking across at Loch Duich. We were hillwalking for 2 days so it was ideal making your own breakfast and packed lunch in order to set off early in the morning. At check in we were greeted by a very pleasant young... More

We weren't expecting much from a restaurant after driving for hours through a very sparse landscape and settling down at a comfortable but simple B&B for the night, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Delicious traditional scottish fare but a big notch above typical roadside dining. Lambs-liver was delicious, everything we had was sourced locally, and dessert of custard and... More

After reading reviews by other caravaners from our site we were disappointed in our over priced haddock and not homemade chips. The clotie dumpling was ok when it had cooled enough not to burn my mouth.

We went for an evening meal but it was average. This restaurant is in my opinion good for a quick visit when travelling or walking but not for a relaxing evening meal.

We arrived at the Jac-O-Bite after an unsuccessful attempt to get a cup of tea and a fine piece in nearby Dornie. (We found the Dornie Gallery’s claim "to have a relaxed and informal cafe atmosphere with good coffee and a small selection of freshly baked scones and cakes" to be something of an exaggeration, but that’s another story). The... More

Stayed in the area, before and meant to try this restaurant, on our return holiday this year, we have ventured in tonight. The greeting on arriving, was outstanding, all the staff and we presume owners, were a delight. They went out of their way, to assist us with making sure our son, who is confined to a wheelchair was comfortable.... More

Unassuming from the outside, perfection on the inside. And grannies clootie is manna from the heavens. Friendly warm staff, generous staff. Bliss

Loch Duich was our holiday destination. After a very long car journey and running out of time to find somewhere to eat we decided to try our luck at this unprepossessing restaurant set on the banks of the loch. It felt SO good to receive a warm welcome and we sat down to chat with the owner and relaxed dining... More

As soon as we got the wheelchair out of the car the manageress came over to open the second door for access, that impressed me we usually have to wait for someone or open the doors ourselves. The excellent service continued inside, only one person serving and one person cooking but they still managed to provide a really quick service.... More
