Lovely position and very clean. The view from the windows is gorgeous and the food though basic was nicely cooked and well presented. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Pleasant experience.

The road-stop café type diner was what you would expect. Typical menu with all the favourites, fish and chips, scampi etc... Staff were very mannerly and welcoming. Good views. Reasonably priced evening meal. Would return.

We were anxious find somewhere to stop for lunch and it was running late. First of all, we drove straight past The Jac-O-Bite because it looked like a cheap American diner. However, needs must and we eventually turned round and went back there - and how glad I am that we did!! Inside, the large dining area is comfortable and... More

Excellent food, friendly service and accommodating staff. We had a meal for a large party of ten people and the staff handled it with ease and good humour. don't let the outside 'look' fool you. Inside the restaurant is well appointed and the food is very good.

The first time we had tried the Jac-o-Bite, even though we had passed it several times. From the outside it looks pretty basic, but it is clean and looks recently redecorated inside. The young man serving was really friendly and helpful. The lunch menu is quite simple, although the restaurant is licensed and the evening menu looks more adventurous. I... More

The family run restaurant to so friendly and the food is always excellent, service is great and the food is always freshly cooked, The views from the restaurant are beautiful. We looked forward to going back this year and we... More

A beautiful location, a warm welcome, fantastic service and very tasty, rustic Highland food. I can't speak highly enough about how impressed we were with all aspects of our experience in the restaurant. Having sampled many of culinary delights of Skye and Lochalsh, I rate the Jac-o-bite up there with the best in the area. My best tip is to... More

This really looks more a roadside cafe than a restaurant but the food served is more adventurous and more expensive. We ate outside because we had the dogs which was nice with good views across the loch however it is by a main road. We had an all day breakfast which was £8 approx and was quite small for the... Having checked Trip Advisor before we travelled we were unsure which restaurant to choose in the Shiel Bridge area for an evening meal, as many comment that the options are pricey and at best of average quality. The Jac-O-Bite is on the A87 at Allt a Chruinn. It doesn’t look much from the road, but don’t be deceived by appearances... More
