Fantastic seafood in a very original location

Having your meal in an early 20th century train station building is quite original. Having great atmosphere in such a narrow building is a great feat but the best part is the food. Freshly caught seafood prepared in a way that makes their taste stand out beautifully from inventive dishes. The chef... read more

We booked a table mid week and the restaurant was full with a swift turnover. In fairness, if you are staying in Kyle and don't want to drink and drive, there are very few places to go and eat and this is likely to be one of the better options. This review is out of step with the other glowing... More

Sometimes you happen to step into a place where everything seems to fit perfect to what you want and include a few surprises. This place was just like that for us. We stopped in this small town for some lunch on our way to Island of Skye. We stepped into a warm small friendly place. Our food was very tasteful... More

We had a delicious meal here last night. I would highly recommend a visit. Linguine with scallops and smoked haddock with mash both superb. Service also very friendly and efficient.

Recommended by our hotel. Had trouble finding the place, didn't realize it was on the train station platform. But once seated, what a treat we were in for. The chef is a genius (apparently receives many marriage proposals). My 14 year old is a picky eater and doesn't eat fish so we ordered the Guinness braised beef and hoped for... More

Had a great meal with family at this great little spot on the Platform. Our party had some great seafood with locally caught scallops and langoustine. Others enjoyed lamb, all beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive and offered a fine selection of wines to compliment our meal. Local help pointed us to the location. Would thoroughly recommend for a... More

Popped in for light lunch and thought dinner looked inviting. Not disappointed very cosy with friendly staff and really lovely seafood. We had monkfish and 2 different sea bass meals. All very nicely cooked and presented.

What a find. The Waterside Restaurant, aka The Seafood Restaurant, is indeed on the platform as one of the station rooms has been turned into a compact restaurant. There are 24 seats at 9 tables and they can cope with 'walk ins' as well as those who were clever enough to book. Our hotel recommended them as their restaurant was... More

Find on the station platform at Kyle of Lochisle this good sea food restaurant. Recommend to book before as it's very popular. Good fresh fish at affordable price

A lunchtime visit to this quaint and cosy little restaurant didn't disappoint with a very warm welcome and hearty, large potions of beautifully prepared food. It's worth searching out, as it's very slightly off the beaten track (and not immediately discoverable on Trip Advisor) at the railway's station platform, but the views from inside over the water and hills beyond...
