... We'll not so much a find as having the sense to follow the recommendation of our B&B's owner. It's a small upstairs room with half a dozen tables,a short but varied menu (plus specials) and a modest choice of drinks. The service was fast and friendly, the food was tasty and well presented. The hand dived scallops were lovely,... More

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting Kyle of Lochalsh or Isle of Skye. I had hand-dived pan fried scallops for starter and pork tenderloin stuffed with white pudding served with orange chutney gravy for mains which were perfectly cooked, melted in your mouth. Very good service with smile and makes you feel very homely. 10 out of... More

We decided to use this small cute Restaurant during a recent visit to Kyles after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, and what a good decision it turned out to be. We had scallops and mussels for starters and beef fillet with haggis and prawns, two separate dishes, for the main. Who would have thought that haggis would go with beef... More

We spent the night in Kyle for our wedding anniversary. We decided to eat at the Waverley after reading the reviews on trip advisor. I'm glad we did, the food was first class, we both had the land and sea steak and I must say that it was the best steak and most delicios prawns that we have ever had.... More

I have eaten here half a dozen or so times over the last 7-8 years or so. Always excellent food, always excellent service, always excellent in all ways. If the Waverley was in a more "accessable" location then it would be very well known. If you are ever in the North West of Scotland then please do not miss out.... More

The Waverley is a small, homey place, reminds you of your grandmother's kitchen in a very comforting way.The food is wonderfully simple and yet excellently prepared. We could not have had a nicer and more relaxing evening.

Visited with my wife for an evening meal (staying a few doors up on Main Street). There are a flight of stairs that lead to a intimate dining area (so booking is advised) which is littered with many influences; art and decoration that is all about the experience. The food is tremendous! It is truly some of the best and... More

Quirky really does sum this place up. Small, so you may need to book, and conveniently located in the town centre. The owner cooks and the waitress is a gem. The cooking is wholesome using good quality ingredients. Certainly, one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. But make room for the Drambuie Bread and Butter... More

This is a small, intimate restaurant which serves excellent food. The surroundings are a bit twee/quirky but this adds to the ambiance. Service by the young waitress (Kirsty?) is very good and she is extremely pleasant and helpful to everyone. Food is delicious - especially the Drambuie Bread&Butter pudding which is to die for! Well worth a visit.
