We came upon the Waverley Restaurant by accident but what a fortunate accident! In a town that seems to offer very little in the way of restaurants this is a gem. On our first visit we had enjoyed just the starter so much that we immediately asked to reserve a table for the following evening, even before main course arrived.... More

We booked the table well in advance knowing the size and popularity of this wee gem. Excellent food and service as usual - down to the handmade truffels - unfortunately coated in coconut!!! which I hate - to my friends' delight.

Just heading back from The Kyle and was recommended to visit The Waverley Resteraunt. Advisable to book and we're greeted by Kirsty on our arrival. Food outstanding and would recommend the Scallops starter together with home made Pate . In all the service , food we're amazing and if you are in a Kyle you must visit The Waverley

One of the great place to eat on the island, great food made from local ingredient, ok wine list with great service. Great decor with a relax ambience. Would go back.

Having lived on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, my son and I are very particular about our seafood. Well, Chef Ank served us the best seared scallops we've ever had. My son had the mussels starter and the Hake and salmon in shrimp sauce for a main course two nights in a row. I'll also make special mention of the baked... More

We fell off the train from Inverness and were welcomed with our bags at this very pleasant restaurant even though it was nearly 9 pm when we got there. The food was very good with big portions and the hostess served quickly and efficiently

Tucked away and only small, The Waverley is well worth taking the trouble to find. It is closed Wednesdays and Thursdays and there are only half a dozen or so tables so booking is advised. Food - Despite being so small there is a good range of freshly prepared and tasty food. There were some unusual vegetarian choices as well,... More

A very small concern with limited tables set on the first floor of a small house. Booking advised. the menu was comprehensive and varied to suit most tastes with some local dishes. The wine list was equally good if a little on the expensive side. Staff were very friendly and the overall ambience good. We liked it.

One of the best meals I have ever eaten and so unexpected from the outside appearance. The food was beautifully cooked, well presented and the service efficient but unobtrusive. And the price was very reasonable. Small numbers catered for so book in advance. It's a (almost) hidden gem so you may need to ask directions.

Was staying in the Kyle Hotel across the road, food there was horrendous, so tried the waverly, all I can say is wow Food was to die for, and service even better! If you are in the Kyle for any reason visit the Waverley, best book!!
