Fantastic location only bettered by the seafood meal, booked a table by the window and watched the sun go down, Mussels, followed by Monkfish all perfectly cooked, a must if you are in the area, but book early as it is always busy

Located on the water front the Crannog offers wonderful views and exceptional food.We had eaten here last year and were looking forward to returning we were not disappointed. The food was glorious and the service good.It may not be the cheapest place in town but it must be amongst the very best

Booked a table here months ago after reading reviews about how good it was and I was not disappointed. Requested a window seat and it was granted what a lovely view looking down the loch ! The restaurant was spotlessly clean and very well decorated. Food was I have to say absolutely one of the tastiest meals we have had... More

We were a party of four, the meals were all good however i don't think that they quite lived up to the price tag, one dish was not quite as warm as it should have and portion size was small,

We ate here after a busy day to enjoy the stunning view. The food was as gorgeous as our surroundings. The potions are massive especially the lobster on a bed of clams and mussels, wended up splitting the lobster between us as we couldn’t eat a whole one each. Absolutely divine! Make sure to request a window table when you... More

Our visit to the Crannog was following a day climbing Ben Nevis. We were running late and had to put out booking back an hour, the staff were very accommodating as we were worried that we might miss our seafood fix. The meal was excellent. We both had the scallops starter. The scallops were on the small side but cooked perfectly... More

Excellent seafood restaurant. Wife and I both had Langoustines in herby garlic butter, as we love prawns and have been dying to try langoustines since we got to the UK. Simply served, with sides of fresh salad and potatoes. Great food, nice cold beer.

Had dinner there one evening and thought it was very expensive for the standard of food offered. Main course for me was sole, mashed potatoes and leeks (I couldn't discern any spinach as mentioned on the menu) and it cost £17.50. The sole, two very small pieces each rolled round a small piece of asparagus, was overcooked and dry. For... More

We ate here on the two nights we stayed in Fort William. Great view over the loch and very friendly staff. The seafood was of very good quality - fresh and beautifully cooked. Scallops, langoustines and lobster - and if you don't like shellfish we'd recommend the turbot with smoked haddock risotto. The first time we had encountered the new... More
