Freshly caught and nicely cooked

Very welcoming despite being very full! (We had to book). Everyone was very friendly. We had langoustines, which had been caught about an hour before we ate them. LOTS of garlic, which we LOVE but not everyone would! A very enjoyable meal, and I'm sure I burned all the calories that I ate, by... read more

Locally sourced fish and seafood, expertly prepared with flair and imagination. Served by charmingly authentic staff who are both professional and laidback which makes for a great customer experience; you can dress up or dress down and fit in whichever. It is not the cheapest place but the prices are entirely justified by the excellence of the ingredients and the... More

Made a reservation for my wife and myself to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Slightly above our budget for what we would normally spend, but being a special occasion we made an exception. The wife being seafood crazy was over the moon when i told her about this. What a great dining experience. I'm not the biggest seafood fan, but... More

My wife was in a trance eating the Langoustines and commented the view from the female WC was the best she had ever seen in the UK!! My Cranachan cheese cake was laced with whisky and worth the bill alone, the best cheesecake I have ever had. The restaurant is positioned overlooking the Loch and tables are situated to ensure... We love all the food we ordered. Everything is as per our expectations. Great food, ambience and view. A bit pricey but the view - if you get to seat near the window area - is amazing. Important to make reservation as this is 1 HOT restaurant. If you order seafood like crab and have problem removing the shell like... More

Looking for some seafood worth having and found this place down on the sea front. Busy, buzzing and cheerful. Very good service. Ate scallops perfectly cooked with tender pork belly and remoulade which was delicious, then cranachan. Strongly recommend.

We went here with our American relatives while on a three day trip to Fort William. The service was very good from the moment we entered the restaurant, staff were courteous. Our table was overlooking the Loch, so lovely. The food was delicious, from the warm bread first served to the fish dishes we had. For me it was one... More

Expensive for small portions. OK if you are into "fine dining" but not if you are hungry! Pretty setting though. Friendly service.

Book in advance, as Crannog is justly popular with locals as well as visitors. You can't get closer to the loch than this. Lots of windows, lots of views, a buzzy atmosphere and a warm welcome greeted us. Its a seafood place, with a steak or two thrown in if you must. We stuck to the fresh ocean produce and... More
