Excellent meal.

Excellent food and very pleasant experience, slightly let down by a number of menu selections being unavailable. Certainly worth a visit if in the area.

We stayed at the hotel and ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Everything from a complimentary appetizer through the mains were excellent. One of us had bouillabase which was loaded with seafood. The other had salmon which was very good. Waitstaff both efficient and charming.

We went for an evening meal here the first night we arrived in Fort William and wow, what a find! The food is incredible, in a relaxed fine dining style. We very much enjoyed!! Thank you.

My boyfriend and I came here on the recommendation of our B&B hosts and really enjoyed our experience here. The food was very good, especially the venison and the cranachan. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Good place for couples looking for a nice dinner in the area.

We stopped in for dinner whilst in the Fort. We felt that it is really expensive and not really value for money with small portions. The food was ok The only plus side is the staff was friendly. Not sure we will return.

Fine dining in a place (a small hotel) which you do not expect. Small restaurant with friendly service. The food was good, but quite expensive. If you are looking for something better than simple Scottish food, for example for a special occasion, it is a very good choice, but If you are a tourist looking for some local experience, I... The chef certainly has a talent for balancing and complementing flavours, and the presentation is a delight. We've been before, and will go again. Mains £20 or under, starters and desserts around £6, excellent value for this level of food, despite the relative lack of competition. (Fort William has a lot of ordinary eateries, but only two really good restaurants).... More

We have never stayed here as we stay locally, but have been to eat in the restaurant on several occasions in the past couple of years. The food is always of a high standard , slightly pricey, but you can see the work and imagination that the chef puts into his dishes although they could be slightly bigger in portion... More

We are locals, and booked a table here for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the end of June. The Lime Tree has an excellent reputation locally, with the added bonus of an art gallery on site as well, if this is something you are into. The restaurant was full the night we were there (Friday 26th June)... More
