As always Glenfinnan is a wonderful experience, amazing views, friendly staff good food and atmosphere, the food really is well made and selection of different dishes is nice, highly recommended for anyone visiting, the only downside is its certainly a premium price for food and drink, but if you can afford it, don't miss it.

I met Chef/proprietor, Duncan Gibson, when he was head chef at the Relais and Chateau hotel, Arisaig House. This is a man who knows where he is going, and quality is what he is all about. Genfinnan House is steeped in history and one can not help but be engulfed in this as soon as you enter this wonderful old... More

Stopped off at the Glenfinnan House Hotel prior to a 30 mile trek into the Scottish wilderness. This was to be our last 'proper' meal for three days and what a meal it was. The food was excellent, full of flavour and freshness - the steak was especially good. The service was also excellent, very relaxed, friendly and helpful, letting... More

Stayed here for 4 days in September and it was excellent. A warm welcome and very comfortable room with enormous bathroom. Shortbread, a bowl of fruit and a tray of tea and coffee etc and a bottle of water renewed daily. Always ate in the restaurant and the staff were most helpful and friendly. Food absolutely excellent and wine list... More

We had lunch here with the "Harry Potter" group and we all loved it ! It was the first time that I had fish & chips and it was delicious! Also loved the apple tart with ice cream! Lovely!

The two of us had a very good meal in the bar. Scallops excellent its a pity only two served with stornoway black pudding. Wifes soup good portion and served hot. My Filet steak was outstanding as usual,Creamed farm chicken was also very tasty. No room for sweet. All in all an excellent meal.Bar prices very reasonable too.

We were not staying here but our family had a bar meal. we ate superb, locally sourced food & had drinks at the bar (a high quality locally-brewed beer). Prices were very reasonable and the view over the loch was stunning. Good service and a bar with character. Couldn't ask for more.

We did not stay (unfortunately) but called in for lunch while out for the day from our home on Skye. Fabulous setting, wonderful food and friendly service, Both the pork and the hake main courses were to die for and the cheese selection was top class. To correct a previous review: it could be stunning. IT IS!
