Have visited several times over the last couple of years and have always been impressed with level of service, range of beer and food. However, on a recent visit things were noticeably different. The are outside the Boots Bar was very unclean and the entrance covered in cigarette butts. Inside there were only two members of staff (both of whom... More

We have been here on numerous occasions and actually travelled from Stirling, it was a nice night, to experience the great food again. The quality of food, cost, service and the friendliness of the staff is just great. Its just a pity we didnt stay. We then had a 2 1/2hr drive home, but it was worth it. Id recommend... More

I made the mistake of ordering the fish and chips. The fish seemed like a cheap frozen thing that you'd buy in Farmfoods. Very thin mulchy processed fish covered in a greasy brown shell. It was disgusting. It came with mushy peas which, while defrosted, were cold and disgusting. The chips were a bit better. Overall the food gave me... More

I stayed here with my 9 year old son in April - We travel regularly to Scotland to go walking but hadn't ventured this far north before. Everything about this place is great - sure, its not the 4 Seasons but its inviting, friendly and the views are out of this world. My son and I ate in the bar... More

Stopped by for evening meal en route north. Superb location in northern fringes of Glencoe. Excellent traditional haggis dish and very tasty chicken served with properly cooked fresh veg. Comfortable eating in large lounge bar. I did not recognise any of the beers on tap so was offered a sample of 2 before choosing An Teallach(?) dark ale. A good... More

A great atmosphere in an iconic venue. They have recently revamped some of the pub and it has improved the atmosphere a lot from my last visit. The beers are reasonably priced and local with a large selection on offer. We had the burgers - they were fresh and tasty. The only downside is hearing when your order is ready,... More

The Clachaig is a great stop off after a long walk in Glencoe, or if just travelling through - the "Boots Bar" is oozing with atmosphere, a wide selection of well kept cask ales are on tap and the food quality is brilliant. Staff are friendly and helpful and the views from outside the pub are astounding.

I was staying at the neighbouring Glencoe Cottages with a mountaineering group, so the Clachaig became something of a local during our week. The atmosphere is famously good - the fact that the portacabin appearance of the climbers' bar looks so unpromising almost adds to the warmth of the interior. Given how many Scottish pubs only sell Tennants, Deuchars etc......it... More
