The staff were freindly, the food well-presented and very palatable, and the weather pleasant enough to sit outside. Importantly for us, there was a reasonable vegetarian menu. Afterwards you can... We ate here after recommendation from our hosts. We rang ahead to check how busy the restaurant was and were told not too busy, so headed down with our two young sons. On arrival we were told there were no tables but were shown across a large function room to a table all on our own completely separate from the... More

Although a couple of folk were not happy with their vegetables being so al dente, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and went there 3 times. We do eat fish and the up market fish and chips was fabulous and we were very pleased with the variety of vegetables. The lemon mousse is to die for!!

The food was quite good, we just went there after walking from Fort William to Benavie and as it started raining, the Moorings was a perfect refuge. They had good draft beer, food and free internet. The chairs were very comfortable and the whole atmosphere was very cozy and yet elagant. It was a good and nice lazy afternoon we... More

I had dinner at the Moorings Hotel on the evening of Tuesday 17/6/14. I had been hill walking and was in need of a reward (good food). I was not disappointed. Excellent food and great service. The attention, despite it being very busy, was first class and I had the feeling throughout that the nothing would be too much bother.... More

The lounge bar was virtually empty when we ordered food at midday but we still had to wait 30 minutes for it to arrive. Having said that, my pork steak in peppercorn sauce was very good and so was the banana split which followed

Had lunch here after a walk along the Caledonian Canal with the dog. Two mac 'n' cheese, two beef lasagne, 2 sides of chips, 1 beer, 2 cider, 1 coke, all for £55. Food was piping hot and delicious. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
