Called in for lunch. Ordered a Ham & Coleslaw salad, when it came there was more orange grated cheese on the plate than anything else. Had to leave most of it. The coffee wasn't up to much. The staff were very friendly.
A wonderful end to my wee break up home after a busy Easter. The food was superb - the chicken was the moistest I've had and the fish and chips went down a storm with my dear old Dad. Arrived here after a long drive from Midlands and recommended from our B&B.Very friendly and the food was tasty and traditional.Added to that the "beat the clock" pricing made it very good value so I m not sure why some reviewers think it overpriced!!!Not fancy but just what we needed on a cold Feb night after a long drive!!!
The title says it all!

nice food but overpriced. small portions, wine expensive. very dissapointed after reading reviews. maybe just a bad day in the kitchen
We have been several times and always enjoyed the meals. The staff are very good and well organized. The lunch deals are very good, but there beat the clock deal is outstanding value and the quality of food is excellent. Also there wine choice is good with a fair price. If in town worth a visit for lunch or an...
