My wife and I had dinner at Browns Restaurant on August 4th and thought it was fantastic. The restaurant was crowded but we were immediately seated. We started with the roasted tomato tart followed by the steak burger and baked chicken. We finished our meal with a selection of mini desserts. Each course was professionally presented and tasted great. The... More

...among the restaurants we visited during our vacation. We were nearly starving when we arrived at Ft. William and were very happy that our B&B's host could arrange for a table on short notice. We didn't care much beforehand about what kind of restaurant we'd like to go, but it turned out it was a very good recommendation. Resonably sized... More

On a weekend visit to Fort William with friends we decided to eat in Browns restaurant having passed it on our way to our hotel. We had to book as it was so busy - always a good sign. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the glassware sparkled. The menu was extensive with a lovely selection of locally sourced meat... More

After looking for a special restaurant for our Saturday night in Fort William, we settled on this restaurant. Everything started reasonably well, we were seated immediately and were offered drinks etc. My wine was quite warm when it arrived which was the first disappointment and our starters were extremely small for the price (don't order Bruschetta), with one tiny slice... Got recommended to go to this place but was somewhat disappointed. Service was nice and also environment ok, but the food really let us down. Medium stakes were overcooked while on the table as the sizzler cooled down. Also saauces were from either jar or bag, defenately not self made.

We spent two nights at the hotel with a tour group and had two dinners and two breakfasts here from a limited menu. Both nights I had the vegetarian haggis balls on onion jam for a starter. I have no idea what was in them, but they were marvelous! My main one evening was scallops on pork belly, which was... More

Good choice food, well presented and tasty, served by cheerful staff. Recommend you book a table in summer.

We had a quick lunch in Browns today after walking in the hills around Fort William. After eating there more formally in the past, a relaxed lunch with my family reinforced the fact that Browns is simply outstanding in all aspects, quality and range of choice, value for money and a superb service. I said before that I'd eat in... More

Well worth the wait for a table if you haven't booked but always best if you do book in advance to avoid disappointment. Went in on the off chance and had to wait 30 mins for a table to become available but it was well worst the wait. With Excellent food and service it's no wonder why there is often... More
