Well-presented food and impressive service in a stylish modern restaurant

Good menu selection for all the family, including hungry boys aged 4 and 8. We were served very promptly with bread and drinks. The kedgeree was delicious but a bit too much for a starter. Lovely zinfandel rose wine. Desserts were beautifully presented. Waiting staff were very attentive without... read more

stopped at Brown's on the way to Loch Lommand liked it so much had dinner on our return journey. Good food, atmosphere and staff very friendly. Nine month's after visit realised I may have left camera there could not believe it when I called and they had stored it in the safe after all this time. Will definitely return.

On Easter Saturday night, we were lucky enough to grab the last table in Browns. All the courses (starters, mains and desserts) our party of four ordered were well presented and very tasty. The warm dark chocolate brownie was a real killer to finish the meal! Good beers but one of the wines (they serve some by the glass) was... More

We went to try the restaurant on our last trip to Fort William and luckily we went there by car, otherwise won't have made it back to our hotel room. My wife ordered starters and main course, whereas I jumped directly to mains. For a price of £16 - 18 mains were huge, the meat was tender and juicy and... More

Went there with my parents. Had 3 different main courses (I had the hake) and all cooked to perfection. Chose the mini taster desserts and they were great too. Reasonable prices too.

Four of us booked in advance. Friendly welcome, reasonable choice of menu. Service excellent and very attentive throughout. We all enjoyed our different choices which were of reasonable portion size and very well presented. Restaurant got busier a bit later but tables well spaced out and low noise level. Really nice surroundings. Price for food was good however the alcoholic... More

My partner and I dined here whilst on holiday in the Highlands. We decided to have a nice meal out and the reviews made us choose Browns. The food itself was excellent, and service was very quick. I'd highly recommend the venison casserole (so much meat!), although the veg was a little less crunchy than I like it, however that's... More

A brilliant restaurant offering a good choice of food at a reasonable price. We had two great evening meals there, my wife was on a strict diet and the restaurant staff could not have been more helpful with her choice of meal. There's really no other place to eat in Fort William. We will definitely eat in Browns restaurant again.
